I’m a self-confessed shopaholic, but I find bra shopping particularly painful. In fact, I try to avoid it as best I can. Especially when trying to find the right bras for a large bust.
It might be because no two bras fit the same and I am constantly having to get refitted, or it might just be because I’m fussy about how my bras look and feel.
But as I walked into David Jones to find some new basics, I didn’t think I’d walk away with a new-found love for minimiser bras (and perhaps my new favourite bra… ever).
So for those who also struggle, here are six of the best bras to try for a large bust.
2025’s top bras for large busts
- C Magnifique Moulded Bra, $134, David Jones (here’s why)
- Ladyform Soft Bra, $69.95, Triumph (here’s why)
- Lift & Shape Minimiser Bra, $59.95, Myer (here’s why)
The best bras for a large bust in 2025

01
C Magnifique Moulded Bra
from $134 at David Jones
This Chantelle C Magnifique bra was my gateway to minimiser bras. I immediately felt comfortable and supported the moment I put this on. It fit seamlessly underneath the breast tissue, with no sign of lifting or moving.
It features a full-coverage cup, while still offering a flattering, lifted shape. There are also wide wings to give great coverage throughout the bra, and padded straps for comfort.
If you prefer a bra without an underwire, the C Magnifique also comes in a wireless version. Wire-free bras usually do not work for me, however, this one offered the right amount of support and shape that I could easily find myself wearing it.
Sizes: Up to H cup
Colours: Beige, Black, Ivory, Slate Blue, Soft Pink
Key features:
- Hook back fastening
- Minimising without flattening the breast tissue
- Foam-padded straps and underwire
- Provides round, lifted shape

02
Ladyform Soft Bra
from $69.95 at Triumph
This bra is great for visibly reducing the size of your bust. I’ll admit, I was sceptical… but this truly made me look like I had dropped a cup.
Despite reducing the visible size, this doesn’t make you feel squashed or uncomfortable. It has soft — yet stretchy — lace detailing for a feminine touch, and a wide, supportive backing so you feel secure.
Sizes: Up to G cup
Colours: Black, Chrysantheme, Platinum, Rosebloom, Smooth Skin
Key features:
- Visibly reduces bust by one cup size
- Wide and adjustable straps
- Two or three hook and eye closures, depending on the size

03
Lift & Shape Minimiser Bra
from $59.95 at Myer
This minimiser bra from Berlei is soft and delicate, while still working overtime to lift and support the breast. It features underwire but no padding, making it ideal for all-day wear.
Sizes: Up to G cup
Colours: Nude Lace
Key features:
- Visibly reduces bust by one cup size
- J hook for racer back option
- Recycled nylon mesh

04
Body Bliss Full Cup Bra
from $59.99 at Bras N Things
The Body Bliss range from Bras N Things isn’t technically a minimiser bra, but it is a great everyday option. They come in a range of different cup shapes, but the Full Cup Bra offers great coverage for a larger chest.
It has broad wings and a cushioned hook and eye closure at the back, so is comfortable enough to forget you’re wearing a bra!
Sizes: Up to H cup
Colours: Black, Nude, Nude 6, Rose
Key features:
- Full cup for natural shape and support
- Microfibre fabrication
- Convertible straps

05
Support Wirefree Bralette
from $59.00 at Nala
Nala’s Support Wirefree Bralette is great for those who like a lightweight yet supportive bra. It is wireless, so offers incredible levels of comfort, without sacrificing shape or lift.
Sizes: Up to K cup
Colours: Snow Cone, Shadow, Licorice, Mum Jeans, Desert Dust, Sugar Plum, Raspberry, Lipgloss, Cherry Jam
Key features:
- Fully lined, supportive cups
- Lifts, supports, and shapes

06
Comfit Collection Contour Bra
from $64.95 at Bendon
The Bendon Comfit Contour Bra is great for those who want a little extra coverage from the band. The underarm extension smooths and tucks around the back of the bra.
While it is not a minimiser bra, it does have a fantastic contouring shape. It lifts and shapes without feeling constricted.
Sizes: Up to G cup
Colours: White, Latte, Mocha, Black
Key features:
- Made from recycled nylon yarns
- Cups have additional internal zoned support
- Double-layered fabric back
What bras are best for a large bust?
While there is no “right” bra for anyone, those with a larger bust may want to try a minimiser bra or something with minimal padding. These bras will limit the visual heaviness that might start to appear with a thicker, more heavily padded bra.
Why is finding the right fit so important?
“When a bra fits properly, it will provide lift, support and most importantly, comfort,” says Nala co-founder, Chloe de Winter. “Of course, all breasts are different in size and shape so getting the size right is crucial.”
