I’m a self-confessed shopaholic, but I find bra shopping particularly painful. In fact, I try to avoid it as best I can. Especially when trying to find the right bras for a large bust.
It might be because no two bras fit the same and I am constantly having to get refitted, or it might just be because I’m fussy about how my bras look and feel.
But as I walked into David Jones to find some new basics, I didn’t think I’d walk away with a new-found love for minimiser bras (and perhaps my new favourite bra… ever).
So for those who also struggle, below are seven of the best bras worth trying if you’ve got a fuller bust, plus a few more standout picks and answers to the most common fit questions we hear.
2026’s top bras for a large bust
- Chantelle C Magnifique Moulded bra, $139, David Jones (here’s why)
- Triumph Ladyform Soft bra, $69.95, Triumph (here’s why)
- Boody Full Bust wireless bra, $39.95, Boody (here’s why)
The best bras for a large bust in 2026

01
Chantelle Magnifique Moulded bra
$139 at David Jones
This Chantelle C Magnifique bra was my gateway to minimiser bras. I immediately felt comfortable and supported the moment I put this on. It fit seamlessly underneath the breast tissue, with no sign of lifting or moving.
It features a full-coverage cup, while still offering a flattering, lifted shape. There are also wide wings to give great coverage throughout the bra, and padded straps for comfort.
If you prefer a bra without an underwire, the C Magnifique also comes in a wireless version. Wire-free bras usually do not work for me, however, this one offered the right amount of support and shape that I could easily find myself wearing it.
Sizes: Up to H cup
Colours: Beige, Black, Ivory, Slate Blue, Soft Pink
Key features:
- Hook back fastening
- Minimising without flattening the breast tissue
- Foam-padded straps and underwire
- Provides round, lifted shape

Why is finding the right bra fit so important?
“When a bra fits properly, it will provide lift, support and most importantly, comfort,” says Nala co-founder, Chloe de Winter. “Of course, all breasts are different in size and shape so getting the size right is crucial.”
What bras are best for a large bust?
While there is no “right” bra for anyone, those with a larger bust may want to try a minimiser bra or something with minimal padding. These bras will limit the visual heaviness that might start to appear with a thicker, more heavily padded bra.
More frequently asked questions:
Look for wide, supportive straps, a firm underband and cups that fully encase the breast without spillage. A higher centre gore and side support panels can also help distribute weight more evenly, making the bra feel more comfortable throughout the day.
Underwire can provide extra lift and structure for a larger bust, especially in everyday bras or styles designed for longer wear. That said, a well-designed wireless bra with a strong band and supportive cup shape can still offer plenty of support.
A bra should feel snug but never restrictive. The band should sit flat against the body without riding up, while the cups should support without digging in or causing bulging. If it feels uncomfortable after a few hours, it’s likely not the right fit.
Yes, as long as the design is right. Wireless bras made specifically for larger busts often rely on structured cups, reinforced bands and wider straps to provide support without the need for underwire.
