It’s official; the second eldest son of the Bridgerton family, Benedict, will take centre stage in Season 4.
Netflix announced the news in July 2024 and fans were ecstatic to learn that the Julia Quinn book An Offer from a Gentleman would finally be adapted onscreen.

Yes! Netflix renewed Bridgerton for its fourth season back in April 2021 before Season 3 was released.

What couple will Bridgerton Season 4 be about?
As aforementioned, Netflix announced on July 24, 2024, that Season 4 would tell Benedict Bridgerton’s story. In the books, Benedict (played by Luke Thompson) falls in love with Sophie Beckett — the illegitimate child of the Earl of Penwood and his maid.
Sophie is yet to appear in Bridgerton but Australian actress Yerin Ha has been cast to play her — although the character’s surname for the series has been changed from Beckett to Baek.

Yerin has previously starred in Halo, Bad Behaviour, and Reef Break.
Is Benedict bisexual in the books?
In Season 3 of Bridgerton, Benedict explored his sexuality. He even engaged in a threesome with Lady Tilley Arnold and Paul Suarez.
However, this encounter is not in the books.
