Benedict Bridgerton may not have been the leading man in season one, but he certainly stole our hearts from the very first scene.
Now, the second eldest Bridgerton brother is taking centre stage in the fourth season where his heart will be stolen by the ‘Lady in Silver.’

But why wait for Bridgerton season four to release on January 29 (and part two on February 26), to learn how Benedict’s story unravels, when we can tell you all the spoilers!
Netflix will undoubtedly include some new twists and turns to keep Bridgerton book enthusiasts on their toes. However, we do know the general storyline as told in the third novel, An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn.
Who is Benedict’s love interest in Bridgerton?
In true Cinderella fashion, Benedict stumbles upon the ‘Lady in Silver’ during a masquerade party hosted by the Bridgertons. He is quickly infatuated with the mysterious woman, and becomes determined to uncover her identity.
This lady, Sophie Baek, is merely a simple maid, attending a glamorous party that she was never invited to. So naturally, she runs away.

In the novels, Benedict begins a man-hunt of sorts, searching for the ‘Lady in Silver’ so that he can marry her. Two years later, Sophie is hired as a maid for the Bridgertons.
Despite his affections, Benedict is completely clueless! The spark from their first interaction reignites and Benedict asks Sophie to be his mistress – yikes.
Benedict does eventually connect the dots, going on to marry and welcome four children together: Charles, Violet, William and Alexander.
Who plays Sophie Baek in Bridgerton?
Starring as Benedict’s love interest Sophie Baek is Korean-Australian actress Yerin Ha. The 29-year-old has previously worked on Halo, Bad Behaviour, and The Survivors.
The fictional character’s last name was transformed from Beckett to Baek to honour Yerin’s Korean heritage. Yerin worked with showrunner Jess Brownell to find a suitable Korean last name, she told Tudum.

“A name is the first bit of identity that you share with the world, and that’s why changing a name can be so powerful,” she told the publication. “To make Sophie’s name fit someone who looks like me is really empowering. All credit to Jess Brownell, our showrunner.”
Who plays Benedict Bridgerton?
Playing the hilarious, art-obsessed Bridgerton brother is English actor Luke Thompson. The 37-year-old has previously starred in Dunkirk, and A Little Life.
