Channel 7 is airing the rebooted show and says that after three decades, it’s coming back with a “reinvented new format”. However, it did reveal that many of the segments from the original show would be making a comeback “with a very 2025 twist.”

See the trailer for the updated show above.

Those segments include food, home, money, health, and travel and will be a mix of in-studio spots and stories filmed on location around Australia.

TV WEEK Logie Award-winner, Chrissie, will also be joined by a team of “handpicked” experts.

Chrissie said that the decision to join the show was easy: “When I got the call, it took me all of five seconds to say yes! I was a huge fan of the show back in the nineties, and as an obsessive home cook, renovator and lover of helpful home hacks, I was born for this role.”

What was the original Healthy, Wealthy and Wise?

Healthy, Wealthy and Wise was a very popular Australian lifestyle television program that aired on Network Ten from 1992 to 1998.

It was one of the first shows of its kind in Australia, mixing practical advice with entertainment.

The title gives you a clue as to its topics:

  • Healthy – nutrition, medical advice, fitness, and wellbeing.
  • Wealthy – money management, consumer tips, finance, and saving.
  • Wise – travel, culture, home improvement, and general lifestyle knowledge.

The show had a rotating team of experts and presenters, including Ross Greenwood (finance), Iain Hewitson (cooking), Tonia Todman (craft and DIY), Lynne Drummond (health), and Jim Brown (travel), among others.

It was hugely influential in the 1990s, inspiring later lifestyle programs like Better Homes and Gardens and The Living Room. Many of its personalities, such as chef Iain “Huey” Hewitson, went on to long careers in Australian TV.

Who are the experts in the rebooted show?

  • Rachel Cole – Money
  • Vincent ‘Dim Sim’ Lim – Food. Vincent is no stranger to the TV screen, having been a guest judge on MasterChef Australia.
  • Chyka Keebaugh – Style. You might recognise Chyka from our Christmas with The Weekly special, where she shared her expert hosting and styling tips.
  • Aimee Stanton – Home
  • Adam Morris – Motoring
  • Dr Mike Mrozinski – Health
  • Dr Will Maginness – Pets
  • Ash Wicks – Helpdesk, who Chrissie described as her “new best friend” on her radio Nova’s The Chrissie Swan Show.

Ash shared one of Chrissie’s life tips (which you might recognise from her column in the Women’s Weekly magazine): always where a bum bag!
