If you tuned into the 2025 Golden Globes, you’ll know that Hollywood heavyweights Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Pamela Anderson and Tilda Swinton were all nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama.

“Of course, I want to dedicate it to my mother. You have no idea, she was here 25 years ago,” she said.
For context, Fernanda was the second Brazilian to ever be nominated for a Best Actress Golden Globe while her mother, Fernanda Montenegro, was the first – in 1999, for the film Central Station (Central do Brasil).

Fernanda is a Brazilian actress and writer whose career spans more than four decades.
Born on September 15, 1965, in Rio de Janeiro, Fernanda began acting at just 13 years old.
She then went on to star in numerous Brazilian projects across theatre, television and film.
In 1986, came a career highlight: Fernanda won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress for her performance in Love Me Forever or Never (Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar).
