Georgie Tunny lands new gig as weekend presenter for 10 News

Veteran newsreader Chris Bath is stepping down as anchor of 10 News, and podcaster, journalist and TV Host, Georgie Tunny, is taking up the mantle in 2026.

Chris Bath joined Ten in 2017 and will continue in her role as weekend presenter until the end of the year.

Georgie Tunny was originally hired by Ten in 2022 as a presenter on The Project. She remained with the network and 10News+, which is slated to get a reduced runtime of 30 minutes in the new year.

“The trust the viewers, the News team, and the wider Network 10 community have shown in me throughout my career is incredibly gratifying,” Georgie said in a statement. “I can’t wait to get started and deliver the news that matters with integrity and heart in 2026.”

Where have you seen Georgie Tunny before?

Georgie has been a constant on Channel 10 since she joined the network in 2022. In addition to The Project and 10News+, Geogrie has also appeared on The Amazing Race, alongside her fiancé, Rob Mills. They made it to the final three.

You may have also heard her before. She also fronts the Two Good Sports podcast and the Ready For It Podcast. Ready For It is a Taylor Swift-inspired podcast, which won Best Society and Culture Podcast in 2024. Switching gears, Two Good Sports is a sports news podcast hosted by Georgie and Abbey Gelmi.

Does Georgie Tunny have a partner?

Yes, as mentioned above, Georgie is engaged to Rob Mills. The Australian Idol alum has since forged a successful career, releasing a top 40 album and starring in several musicals like Wicked, Grease and Hairspray.

The couple first started dating in 2018 after Rob reached out to her on Instagram!

After some time dating, Rob popped the question in 2021, and the two are still engaged.
