Fans of the popular reality series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here Australia received some good (?) news this morning: Seven has picked up the show!

Earlier this year, Ten announced that it was dropping the show from its slate, citing budgetary issues. Hosts Julia Morris and Robert Irwin both weighed in on the cancellation.

I’m A Celebrity, and our whole jungle family who make this show have made it the best working experience of my lifetime,” said 2026 Gold Logie nominee Julia Morris. “I have loved every moment and will be forever grateful to Beverley and the whole team at Network 10 for not only believing in this show but nurturing it for 12 years. And to our jungle family watching from home, we love you.”

Robert only hosted three seasons before its cancellation, but called it a “privilege”.

“We have had the honour of sharing incredible stories and create a platform to shine a light on amazing charities that our celebrities have supported along the way,” Robert said in a statement. “And to do it all alongside my co-host, and friend, Julia Morris, made it a truly life-changing experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.”

Since then, rumours swirled about whether anyone would pick up the show. The original version of the show from the UK actually films in Australia, so it seemed inevitable that another network would obtain the franchise. Now we know that it’s coming to Seven in 2027.

It adds to Seven’s popular reality TV show slate, which includes Farmer Wants a Wife, The Voice, Australian Idol, My Reno Rules, and Dancing with the Stars.

Former I’m A Celebrity host Dr Chris Brown left the Ten network for Seven last year and currently hosts My Reno Rules. Could we see him return to hosting duties in the jungle?

Fans and fellow hosts of other Seven shows have had the

“Might be time Dr Chris Brown be a contestant!!” one fan wrote.

“Please say you’re hosting @drchrisbrown!!!!” another added.

Chef Miguel Maestre tagged Chris with a laughing emoji.

Robert took over from Chris as host after he left, telling The Weekly in an interview that Chris gave him great advice as he stepped into the role.

“I have gotten a lot of really great advice [from Dr Chris],” Robert shared in the interview. “We are similar. A lot of what our exchanges have been around is cameras – what lens do you use here or what do you do there? The photography community is actually quite tight-knit, so there are a lot of conversations around that. And at the moment, jumping into [I’m a Celebrity…] I am very much open to advice!”

Whether or not Chris Brown returns, fans clearly want Julia Morris to return.

“We need @ladyjuliamorris to keep hosting! The show simply wouldn’t be the same without her!”

The most recent season of I’m A Celebrity copped a lot of critism for not being live. In contrast to previous seasons, it was pre-recorded, meaning it wasn’t as interactive with viewers back home.

There’s no word on whether Seven will continue this format.

However, Miguel Maestre also fuelled rumours of who could be taking part: “I heard a little bird saying they’ll get all the winners for first show.”

Along with the announcement, Seven released a video saying that the popular show had found a “new home” and is coming in 2027:
