Married at First Sight participants Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice are engaged.
Clint popped the question on April 6, 2025 while he and Jacqui were at a MAFS reunion screening hosted by So Dramatic!
“I wanted to have a conversation later, but we’ve got a room full of new friends… for what you’ve done on-screen, you’re an absolute star and you’ve been a star in my life,” Clint says to Jacqui in footage from the event.
“You’re amazing, and I know we signed up for MAFS to get married and find a life-long partner. So I’ve got one question for you, will you marry me?”
Jacqui screamed, “Yes!,” and the two embraced while Beyonce’s Crazy In Love played.
We’ll make no comment on the song other than that it was a fitting choice…
Reportedly, Clint proposed with a custom-made 5.08ct oval diamond solitaire ring set in platinum and 18ct yellow gold, from Simon Curwood Jewellers.
So, are Jacqui and Clint together?
The short answer is yes, Jacqui and Clint are together.
The long answer is that the couple went public with their relationship weeks ago on Instagram, breaching their Channel 9 contracts and ruining the ending of MAFS before it aired.
However, Channel 9 simply didn’t acknowledge Jacqui and Clint’s relationship until the reunion episode.
In the episode, the couple arrived at the dinner party together and revealed they were moving in together and starting a business together, much to the dismay of Ryan Donnelly – Jacqui’s ‘husband.’
Jacqui and Clint aren’t the first in MAFS history to swap partners by any means though.
In the last two seasons alone, Jonathan McCullough and Ellie Dix, and Duncan James and Evelyn Ellis started up relationships – Jonathan was originally paired with Lauren Dunn, Ellie with Ben Walters, Duncan with Alyssa Barmonde and Evelyn with Rupert Budgen.
