On April 30, 2023, the world lost celebrity chef and MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo.
But Jock’s wife, Lauren Zonfrillo (née Fried) lost her husband and father to her children.
Since his passing, Lauren has consistently paid tribute to Jock in any way she can.
For instance, she encouraged Jock’s close friend and colleague Andy Allen to continue working on MasterChef as that’s what she believes Jock would have wanted.
Lauren also regularly posts to Instagram, sharing wonderful pictures and videos of Jock alongside incredibly candid captions.
Here are the sweetest tributes Lauren has shared in honour of her husband, the late Jock Zonfrillo.

On what would’ve been Jock’s 48th birthday, Lauren shared a sweet video along with the caption:
“If I could give you a gift this year it would be for you to know that the ship has steadied – our little ones are laughing, there is momentum back, and we are living a new version of life and it’s bright.”

On April 30, 2024, Lauren marked the one year anniversary of Jock’s death with a montage made up of various pictures and videos of the chef.
“One year. We watched the sunrise today in true Scottish style – wind, pouring rain, and Jock’s beloved bagpipes as our soundtrack,” Lauren wrote.
“A day for us to try to accept that he’s not coming home, that this is forever, that we were lucky he was ours.
“Forever their Papa and Dad. Forever My Love.”

In February 2024, Lauren accepted the AACTA Award for Best Reality Program when MasterChef won. She wrote of the moment on Instagram:
“I felt very privileged to be part of the @masterchefau team when they accepted their @aacta award last night for Best Reality Program. They gave me their moment in the limelight so that I could honour Jock, thank you.”

On January 1, 2024, Lauren celebrated what would’ve been her and Jock’s seventh wedding anniversary by posting several stunning images of their big day as well as the caption:
“Happy anniversary My Love. Our dream of growing old together in the middle of nowhere in Italy – kids and dogs under our feet, you laughing your enormous laugh, falling asleep on your chest – is so vivid. That’s where I imagine you now.”

In July 2023, Lauren shared what she wore to Jock’s funeral and why.
“What a gorgeous man, alway happiest in his kilt. This is the fly plaid (tartan over his shoulder) that I chose to wear to Jock’s funeral, the last one he wore.”

Exactly two months after Jock passed away, Lauren shared the sweet story of how Jock proposed to her. “This week seven years ago, up in the Scottish Highlands, Jock asked me to marry him,” she penned on Instagram.
“He took me on a 4WD adventure from Loch Lomond, up some hectic winding roads, to the top of a windy mountain.
“Down on one knee he asked that we give our future children the opportunity to love and enjoy Scotland as we did, he also proclaimed that he loved me more than Tunnocks Caramel Logs (which is a lot!)”

This post, shared on June 16, 2023, is both heartwarming and heart wrenching. “Little Isla has started sleeping with Papa’s clothes, keeps him close,” Lauren captioned this picture of her and Jock’s daughter.
