According to Variety, Leighton will play Abby, a new character described as “Joanne’s middle school nemesis who is now an Instagram mommy influencer.”

Does Nobody Wants This End on a cliffhanger?
If you’re yet to watch Season 1, beware there are spoilers ahead!

The entire first season of Nobody Wants This followed Joanne and Noah, an agnostic woman and a rabbi who, against all the obstacles in their way, fall in love with each other.
As their relationship blossomed, Joanne began considering converting to Judaism — it’s a non-negotiable for Noah that his life-long partner is Jewish.
But in the final episode, Joanne ultimately decided she wasn’t quite ready to convert and so, she and Noah broke up.

In true rom-com style though, in the final moments of the episode, Noah raced after Joanne and the two shared a ridiculously sweet kiss.
“So how does this work?” Joanne then asked Noah… It’s not a huge cliffhanger but it definitely is one.
Thankfully, we’ll find out what happens next for the couple in Nobody Wants This‘ second season. Bring on October!!!
