Robert Irwin is officially ready to tango; and by that we mean, the 21-year-old will compete on the popular reality show Dancing with the Stars.
But don’t get too excited! Robert is competing in the US version of the show, not the Australian one.
The news was announced at a Hulu event held on April 22, 2025, in Beverly Hills, California.
Robert attended shirtless (we’re not 100 per cent sure why), with a boa constrictor snake draped around his neck.
“All I can say is crikey!” the Wildlife Warrior told US Dancing with the Stars judge Derek Hough — and the audience — at the event.

“Mate, I cannot tell you what an honour, what a privilege it is to be joining this season.”
Robert went on to say that he remembers his sister, Bindi Irwin, having “the most incredible time” back when she competed in Dancing with the Stars in 2015.
“And I just thought, ‘One day that’s gonna be me.’ I have these little dreams, and now that dream is a reality, and I am over the moon. Let’s do this,” the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! host added.
How can I watch Robert Irwin compete in Dancing with the Stars?
It’s been confirmed that the 34th season of Dancing with the Stars (US) will premiere “this fall”, which is spring for Australians.
And judging by previous seasons of the US Dancing with the Stars, it’ll likely start in mid to late September 2025.

Watch this space for an exact premiere date!
Sadly, though, there’s currently no way for Australians to stream the US version of the reality show.
In the US, Dancing with the Stars airs on ABC and is available to stream via Disney+ and Hulu.
Here’s hoping that the Australian Disney+ makes Dancing with the Stars (US) available before Robert’s season starts!
Did Bindi Irwin win Dancing with the Stars?
Yes, Bindi did indeed win the mirrorball trophy!

She won the 21st season of the US Dancing with the Stars in 2015, when she was just 17 years old.
Her partner was Derek, who, as aforementioned, now works as a judge on the show.
Bindi was ecstatic upon hearing the news that her brother would soon compete.
“Robert, you are going to absolutely shine in the ballroom… Can’t wait to cheer you on each week as you inspire so many with your strength, kindness and determination,” she wrote on Instagram before adding:
“Ps. Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I won…”
