As a divorced father of two children, Australian actor Russell Crowe has revealed he will never marry again.
Russell, 61, is booked and busy in 2025. He has made countless appearances on television, hyping up his upcoming projects.
With his name making regular headlines, speculation quickly spread that he was engaged to his girlfriend, Britney Theriot. The Gladiator actor has since responded to such claims.
Below, The Weekly details Russell Crowe’s relationship with partner Britney, and his previous marriage.
Is Russell Crowe in a relationship?
As previously mentioned, Russell is in a relationship with girlfriend and US-born Britney Theriot, 33.
The pair reportedly first met on the set of Broken City in 2013, where Russell Mayor Nicholas Hostetler and Britney played Valerie.
Many years passed, but Russell and Britney were spotted showing PDA in Sydney’s Rushcutters Bay tennis court in November 2020. They weren’t photographed again until April 2021 in Newtown, Sydney.
We do, however, know that Russell and Britney have been dating for five years.
Is Russell Crowe engaged?
In mid-2025, rumours of Britney and Russell’s alleged engagement spread. Given the pair are incredibly private, they neither confirmed or denied the rumours until months later.
During a 60 Minutes chat with Karl Stefanovic, the Australian actor shut down the claims.
“All these reports keep coming out saying that Britney and I are engaged and I’m going to get married again. No, we are very very good friends and we have a wonderful relationship,” he shared.
“My life is so joyous and happy at the moment. Why would I ruin that with a wedding? Why would I go through [that]?
“I’ve been married once, you know, I know how it can go and where it can go. So, I don’t need to go to that place… I’m not going to get married again. Doing it once is cool. Great. But I don’t want to do it again.”
Has Russell Crowe been married before?
Russell Crowe has been married once before, to now ex-wife Danielle Spencer, 56.
They first met in 1990, starring as lovers in The Crossing.
Danielle, a former actress, walked down the aisle to wed Russell on April 7, 2003. The wedding ceremony was held at Russell’s farm in Nana Glen, New South Wales.
In their nine years of marriage, they welcomed two children together. First born was Charles, welcomed in 2003. Following close behind was Tennyson, born in 2006.
Russell and Danielle’s separation was first reported in 2012. But their divorce wasn’t finalised until 2018.
