Who was Sam Rockwell in White Lotus?
As aforementioned, Sam and Leslie’s relationship was thrust into the spotlight when Sam made a cameo in Season 3 of The White Lotus.
Why? Well, Leslie has a major role in that season of the Emmy Award-winning anthology series.
She plays Kate, a woman on vacation with her two friends Lauren and Jaclyn, played by Carrie Coon and Michelle Monaghan respectively.
Sam played Frank, an old friend of Rick’s – played by Walter Goggins – who now lives in Thailand and gave a memorable monologue about sex addiction.
However, Sam and Leslie shared no screen time during Sam’s White Lotus cameo.

In fact, it wasn’t even Leslie’s idea to bring him on the show.
“He was a last minute [addition]. That came in last minute, like maybe two weeks before they were going to film it,” Leslie told CNN.
“I said to them when they offered it to him, I was like, ‘If he doesn’t do it, don’t get mad at me. And [White Lotus creator Mike White]’s like, ‘I’m not going to get mad at you.’”
Despite not sharing the screen this time, the couple have worked together before.
They’ve both appeared in Iron Man 2, F–K, Don Verdean, and The Dark of Night.
