Teresa and Mark are undoubtedly head over heels for one another, but they did meet in the most unusual way. They first connected on X, Twitter at the time, in 2012.
Afterwards, they chatted via emails before meeting in person. Shortly after, the actor and director dropped to one knee and asked for Teresa’s hand in marriage.
On December 12, 2013, Teresa said ‘I do’ in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Mexico. At the time, Teresa was pregnant with their first child together.
“We just exploded from the moment we met,” Mark told WHO Magazine in 2013 . “We planned on having a child and getting married – those were the top two things – and we got right to it.”

Teresa Palmer has five children and is a step mum to one son.
Her youngest child with Mark is daughter Lotus Bloom, born September 19, 2025.
The lovebirds took to Instagram in the following days to announce her arrival.
“Welcoming our baby GIRL, Lotus Bloom Palmer,” Teresa wrote. “She arrived early yesterday morning with the sun after a beautiful home waterbirth.
“Three girls, Three boys, Feels like we’re dreaming.”
“Our birth team held us in every way, forever grateful to the greatest team that exists… I felt so strong, at ease and empowered in your care and it led to us having the birth of our dreams.”
Shortly after, Teresa shared pictures to Instagram of her waterbirth, surrounded by her loving family.
“I’ll cherish these photos forever 🤍,” she captioned the photos.
Teresa and Mark’s first born child was Bodhi Rain Palmer, 11, born February 18, 2014.
However, this isn’t Mark’s first child. Teresa is a step mum to Isaac, who is from Mark’s previous marriage.
Mark and Teresa’s second born is Forest Sage, 8, born in December 2016.
“Folly, you bring SO much laughter and joy in to our lives. Kindness, thoughtfulness and sharing are important to you as are your best friends in the world Bodhi & Poet,” Teresa wrote, tributing Forest’s sixth birthday.
Next up in the Palmer family was their first daughter Poet Lake, 6, born April 2019.
“She is brave, kind, strong, funny, smart, adventurous, verrrry into her dolls, hair accessories, playing mummies & daddies, dress-ups and becoming a unicorn-pegasus-zombie with her little sister and best friend, Prairie 🤣🥹,” the mum wrote on Instagram.

Teresa and Mark’s next daughter was Prairie Moon, 4, born August 2021.
“She is the most beautiful blend, loving all things princesses, sparkles, dress-ups, horses and babies as much as building forts, playing for hours in the mud at bush school,” Teresa wrote of her daughter on Instagram.
