What is happening to Han and Can’s home on The Block after a ‘disappointing’ auction?

"There is someone out there that will love it as much as we do."

Loss after loss, Han and Can were more than ready for a win come auction day on The Block 2025.

Han and Can were the last to go to auction – a strategic decision from the teams because they had no registered buyers. Britt and Taz went first, followed by Robby and Mat, Emma and Ben, then Sonny and Alicia.

Everyone had the same reserve of $2.99 million – aside from Sonny and Alicia following their Front Yard Week win. A reserve that was considerably high given the median Daylesford housing price is around $1.8 million.

After Sonny and Alicia’s success, the girls decided to start the auction with a Vendor Bid of $3.1 million. Unfortunately, this decision didn’t quite pay off as no buyers raised their paddles, and therefore the Japanese-inspired home was passed in.

“We’re obviously a little disappointed we weren’t able to sell under the hammer today,” Can told 9Entertainment following the auction.

“We know the home is beautiful and yes it’s a little bit quirky, there is someone out there that will love it as much as we do,” Han said reassuringly.

“It’s just going to take a little bit of time and that’s totally fine.”

House 2 wasn’t the only Block home passed in. New-parents, Emma and Ben’s house will also be selling outside of auction after bids failed to surpass reserve.

What is happening now to Han and Can’s home on The Block?

Han and Can’s home at 4 Cedar Lane in Daylesford is currently available on the Domain website, with inspections available by appointment.
