Emma and Ben haven’t had the easiest journey on The Block 2025, and their auction day results were no different.
The new-parents were dubbed ‘the bridesmaids’ after coming second in countless room reveals, the cash prizes just out of their reach.

Blockheads were cheering on House 1 from their living rooms, but having missed out on prizes so many times, the loss was starting to impact their ever-shining and bubbly personalities.
We had such high hopes for their auction results, and so did they given Emma had recently given birth to their first child together, a boy named Bailey.
The order of auction was Britt and Taz, Robby and Mat, Emma and Ben, Sonny and Alicia, and lastly, Han and Can.
It was an intense start to their auction, given the boys unexpected results – especially compared to Britt and Taz’s profits – put the contestants in a nervous state.
Like the other houses, Emma and Ben’s reserve was $2.99 million. But the buyers bids weren’t surpassing this.
House 1 scrambled to call their realtor to halt auctions because their auctioneer was moments from selling the house under the reserve!
After a quick discussion, Emma and Ben decided with their realtor to increase the minimum bid to $3,100,000. Unfortunately, no bidder decided to match this.
Now, House 1 will be sold outside of auction.
“It was not the result we were hoping for,” an emotional Emma confessed to 9Entertainment. “I think it was the best play though. We didn’t want to get to reserve and then go a dollar over.”
Ben added, “you definitely feel like a loser.”
House 1 isn’t the only home to be passed in this 2025 season. Han and Can also made the strategic decision to pass in their home

Auction day aside, a teary Ben said he was already a winner.
“I have a beautiful wife, a beautiful baby boy, nothing else matters,” he told the publication.
Emma, who was pregnant while filming The Block, gave birth on September 25, 2025.
“He really just didn’t want to miss the auction,” Emma previously told Woman’s Day.
