The Block 2025 is well underway with its 21st season, and we’ve received the first look at the contestants!
The first teaser trailer (see above) recently dropped and revealed who the five couples will be for this upcoming season. And this season is set to be a hectic one. For the first time ever, the contestants have to build their homes from scratch!

Meet the 2025 contestants below and stay tuned for more information as it drops closer to the season premiere.
Who are the contestant teams in The Block 2025?
The contestants all took part in Daylesford’s queer country pride parade in early March as part of the challenge, and were obviously spotted by fans.
Married at First Sight 2025 groom, Dave Thomas Hand, is also confirmed to be making an appearance on this show via his business, Silicone Valley Caulking.
Emma and Ben
Introducing the Blue Team: Dance teacher Em (33) and engineer Ben (32), a married couple from VIC.
Emma and Ben have applied for The Block seven times!
Can and Han
The Orange Team are geologist Han (29) and social media and marketing analyst Can (31). The WA-based couple met a year ago online, and bonded immediately after discovering they both wanted to compete on The Block.
Robby and Mat
Here are the Green Team: Barber Robby (37) and hairdresser Mat (41). These two are best mates from South Australia who first met 15 years ago when Mat was cutting Robby’s hair.
It was Robby’s idea to apply for The Block while Mat was celebrating his 40th birthday in Bali. Unfortunately for Mat, he is a complete newbie to The Block-world given he has never watched an episode!
Alicia and Sonny
Plumber Sonny (44) and dental practice manager Alicia (42), a married couple from QLD, make up the Yellow Team!
They have been married for 14 years have have three children together, Aria (12), Boston (11) and Koa (8).
Britt and Taz
Here’s the Red Team: Police officer Britt (30) and police officer Taz (30), a married couple from Newman, a mining town that is a 12 hour drive north of Perth, WA.
The lovebirds share two kids together: Carter (4) and Myla (2).

When will The Block 2025 air?
The Block returned to screens on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
The last day of filming was 1 June, so it has already wrapped!
When will The Block 2025 auction happen?
In previous seasons, the auctions took place in late October or early November, so it seems like that will be the same timing for The Block in 2025. Last season, Adrian Portelli purchased all five houses, but has since confirmed that he will not be returning.
