The Traitors 2026 winner is crowned in jaw-dropping finale

She knows how to play the game!

After a thrilling season full of murder, banishments, fabulous Gretel Killeen moments and screaming at the television when the Faithfuls weren’t recognising the clues, the winner of The Traitors Australia 2026 has been revealed.

The TV competition was more exciting than we ever expected, but with a show full of reality stars who aren’t afraid to say what they think, what did we expect?

The Traitors, however, involves a little more strategy. While some contestants flourished under the lies and investigations, others withered.

Leading the betrayals as the original Traitors were Kirby, Alex, and Alvin – with the latter two banished mid-season. Then, Survivor’s sweetheart seduced sweet, innocent Rhys.

Twenty-one contestants walked into The Traitors Manor to greet the marvelous host Gretel. But heading into the finale, only four contestants remained: two Faithfuls Krissy and Keira, and two Traitors Kirby and Rhys.

“When this game began, many lifetimes ago, or should I say many lives ago… ..I thought my players would grow to despise this Round Table. But I now believe that a small number of you will remember this table with fondness. For some of you, the Round Table will symbolise success. It will symbolise what you can overcome against all odds,” Gretel said, moments before the contestants debated over their innocence.

Rhys tried his best to defend himself against the masses. But in the end, it was all for naught as he became the first to be banished from the finale. With so much on the line, Rhys was not instructed to not reveal whether or not he was a Traitor.

In a dramatic ceremony, the final three were given a choice: banish one more to sniff out another Traitor or trust everyone standing around the fire was a Faithful. However, trusting each other in a game full of lies is near impossible, which is why Keira and Kirby voted to banish once again. Unfortunately, Krissy’s haste to end the competition was seen as suspicious, and Keira voted out her fellow Faithful.

Finally, all the lies amounted to something because Kirby is walking home with $206,000.

“I came into this game to play for my family and it is an incredibly hard game to play. I have loved getting to know you and everyone else, and I mean that genuinely. That being said, I have always been… a Traitor,” she said.

“Everything that I’ve done has definitely been worth it. This is massive, not only for my family, this is massive for Aboriginal people, for women, that we can navigate through life regardless of what we’ve been through, because we have to be two steps ahead because of who we are. I just don’t think that it’s sunk in right now. Oh my God, Gretel. To win Traitors as the OG Traitor?!”

After a weeks of dodging accusations and near miss banishments, this win is well deserved!
