Lady Kitty Spencer has finally shared the name of her baby girl.
Kitty, who is the daughter of Earl Charles Spencer and niece of the late Princess Diana, took to Instagram on July 1 to share a beautiful black and white photo of herself and her daughter, along with the caption:
“Athena watching the world go by.”
Kitty secretly welcomed little Athena with husband Michael Lewis months ago in March.
We say secretly as it was not publicly known that Kitty and Michael were expecting until Kitty shared a post in honour of Mother’s Day.
“It’s the joy of my life to be your mummy, little one,” the caption read underneath the post, which featured a sweet video of Kitty cradling her baby on the beach.
“I love you unconditionally. Happy Mother’s Day to those who celebrate today,” she added.
Kitty’s twin sisters gushed over the new addition to the family in the comments section.
“My perfect little niece,” Eliza Spencer wrote.
“The most perfect angel in the world,” Amelia Spencer added.
Kitty’s baby girl Athena is distant cousins to Prince William and Princess Catherine’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as well Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Kitty married South African businessman Michael Lewis in a highly-publicised wedding in 2021.
Whilst the wedding was one of the highlights of the year, there was one major absent figure from the wedding – the Spencer tiara.
The tiara, which is a Spencer family heirloom, was worn by Princess Diana on her wedding day to the then-Prince Charles in 1981. As well as this, the heirloom was also worn by Diana’s mother, and her two older sisters, Lady Sarah Spencer and Lady Jane Spencer.
However, Lady Kitty Spencer seemed to forego the family heirloom in favour of a more understated look for her wedding day.
