Prince Louis certainly has made a name for himself; the whole world knows the youngest Wales child namely because of his hilarious antics.
In case you’ve somehow missed them (how?!), let us explain.
During the few royal engagements little Louis has attended, instead of adopting the sombre royal expression we’ve all grown accustomed to, he has been caught sticking out his tongue, crossing his arms, manically laughing, pulling funny faces… you get the idea.
Do we think he’s a ‘naughty royal’? Of course not!
Louis is just like any other 6-year-old. And it’s actually funny seeing his antics in such royal, formal settings.
We can’t help but wonder whether the prince will grow out of his cheeky demeanour one day; here’s hoping he doesn’t!
Read on to learn everything you need to know about Prince Louis and to see his funniest and cutest moments…
Will Louis become a prince?
Louis was born a prince and it’s extremely likely that he’ll hold that title for the rest of his life.
Of course, Louis could also become ‘Prince Louis, Duke of York’ one day.
The Duke of York title is currently held by Prince Andrew but he only has daughters – Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie – and this title can only be passed down the male line.
This means that when Prince Andrew dies, The Duke of York title will likely revert back to the crown to be redistributed to an eligible member of the royal family.
As per tradition, the title has usually been given to the second son of the monarch. Meaning if Andrew dies while King Charles is still reigning, the title could go to Prince Harry.
But if Andrew dies after Prince William ascends the throne, Louis could be granted the Duke of York title.
What is the last name of Prince Louis?
Prince Louis doesn’t really have a last name. At the time of his birth, he used Cambridge as a surname of sorts, as his parents’ formal titles were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
However, now that Prince William and Princess Catherine are formally the Prince and Princess of Wales, Louis, for all intents and purposes, uses Wales as a surname.
How old is Prince Louis now?
Louis is currently 6-years-old.
