After dropping bombshell documentaries about their own lives, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are acting as executive producers for a more humble film.
The documentary, Cookie Queens, discusses America’s girl scout movement – something that the Duchess of Sussex is particularly familiar with having been a girl scout herself.
Meghan and Prince Harry stepped out twice for the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, promoting their latest project via Archewell Productions.
“My husband and I and Archewell Productions, we are so proud and privileged to be able to support and uplift Cookie Queens,” Meghan shared at the festival, as per Hello!
“This film is probably the cutest at the festival. But I’m also going to go out on a limb and say it’s one of the most powerful and meaningful depictions of something that is an American tradition… rooted in nostalgia.”
Below is everything you need to know about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s project, Cookie Queens.

What is Cookie Queens about?
As per the official description, the story delves into the girl scout season in the US following the journey of four young women striving to become “a top-selling Cookie Queen, navigating an $800 million business in which innocence and ambition collide.”
Reflecting on her own experience, the Duchess said the movement “really embeds such great values.”
“I was a Girl Scout, my mum (Doria Ragland) was a troop leader, and I think the value of friendship, of being dedicated to a goal as you can see that in Cookie Queens,” the mother-of-two said at the Sundance Film Festival. “It’s so reflective of how these girls stick with something that’s important to them and don’t give up. And self belief is an integral value that comes with being a Girl Scout.”

Where to watch Cookie Queens in Australia:
The documentary premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2026. However, as for where Cookie Queens will premiere, this remains unclear.
Cookie Queens will be available for acquisition following its premiere. Yet, the Sussex’s still have a contract with Netflix through Archewell Productions, so it is possible the documentary will premiere there.
