The Australian Women’s Weekly is back at the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year, with The Weekly’s Picnic and Café providing a space to step outside of the hustle and bustle of the Show for a moment of whimsical and rustic relaxation. The café will sell a signature baked item plus a selection of savoury treats, tea, coffee and cold drinks.

But that’s not all, the show that is all about celebrating Australian heritage and agriculture and provides a massive range of activities for the family – and more than enough to occupy most of the Easter long weekend.

The pony rides are a favourite pastime, as well as cooking workshops for kids – plus the show bags packed full of endlessly entertaining treats post-show.

Marvel at Featherdale’s wildlife

The Easter weekend is the perfect opportunity to get out into the great Australian outdoors and meet some of our most adorable wildlife, and Featherdale is a firm favourite for Sydneysiders and visitors alike.

If there’s energy leftover, you can also pair your visit with a trip to the waterslides, rides and attractions at the nearby Raging Waters, for an action-packed long weekend.

Enjoy the Falls Creek Easter Festival

The Victorian Alps are particularly family friendly during the Easter weekend, and the Falls Creek Easter Festival is well worth the trip.

While enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings of the mountain, there are guided nature and historical walks and plenty of kid’s activities, too, such as Easter egg hunts and mountain bike shuttles. There’s also a winter snow gear sale, so you can get your kit sorted before the season begins.
