Whether you’re completely obsessed with Christmas or a Grinch, everyone knows about the very special Carols by Candlelight brought to us by Vision Australia.
It is one of Australia’s most wholesome Christmas events featuring entertainment by talented artists and hosted by impressive television presenters.
But more importantly, it is Vision Australia’s biggest annual fundraising event for children’s services. The profits from ticket sales and donations support 2000 families with blind or low vision children.

When is Carols by Candlelight 2025?
Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight will be held on Christmas Eve December 24, 2025 at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne.
Where to watch Carols by Candlelight 2025:
The musical event will air live on Channel Nine and 9Now at 8pm local time.
Carols by Candlelight can also be listened to live via multiple radio stations, including 3AW 693 in Melbourne, 2GB 873 in Sydney, 4BH 1116 in Brisbane.
Who is performing at Carols by Candlelight 2025?
The performances featured in the Carols by Candlelight often include a variety of artists, comedians, entertainers and more.
Not all the performers have been confirmed. But we do know host, David Campbell, will deliver an incredible performance.

Plus, American country singer Lainey Wilson will also be performing! Some of her biggest songs include 4x4xU, Heart Like A Truck, Watermelon Moonshine, and Hang Tight Honey.
Who is hosting Carols by Candlelight 2025?
Considering the event is being broadcast by Channel 9, and has done so for many years, the network has assigned two of it’s beloved journalists to host Carols by Candlelight.
The hosts are Today Extra co-host David Campbell and Today co-host Sarah Abo.
David is no newbie when it comes to hosting Carols by Candlelight. This will be his 12th year to be exact. In 2024, he even hosted solo after Sarah Abo was hospitalised due to appendicitis.
“I was begging the doctors, the surgeons, to see if I could delay the surgery so that I could get [to Carols by Candlelight] in time. But, yes, sadly, that wasn’t the case,” Sarah told 9Entertainment a year after the surgery.
