When it comes to Christmas and entertainment, most people think of movies but there’s an abundance of Christmas TV episodes too!
Where can I watch Christmas episodes of TV shows?
Almost every TV show has had a Christmas episode or two.
But as various shows are available on different streaming platforms, it’s hard to answer this question succinctly… Below we’ve listed our favourite Christmas TV episodes and exactly where you can watch them though!
What show has the best Christmas episode?
In our opinion, these are the best Christmas TV episodes:
Friends
‘The One with the Holiday Armadillo‘
If you want to laugh, this Friends episode is perfect for you these holidays! The episode follows Ross as he tries to teach his Christmas-obsessed son Ben more about Hanukkah.
If Chandler’s delivery of, “Merry Christmas,” while he’s dressed as Santa doesn’t make you laugh out loud, nothing will.
Watch Season 7, Episode 10 of Friends now on Netflix Australia.
Lost
‘The Constant’
The Weekly recently celebrated Lost’s 20th anniversary by proffering why its infamous finale is actually one of the best in television history. Now we plan to convince you that Lost’s ‘The Constant‘ is one of the best Christmas episodes of all time, but in less than 40 words — no easy feat.
The episode follows Desmond as his consciousness jumps back and forth between present-day 2004 and 1996. Overall, The Constant is thrilling, beautifully shot and features a charming but emotional conclusion set on Christmas Eve.

Everybody Loves Raymond
‘The Toaster’
Have you ever put a ton of effort into getting someone a thoughtful Christmas present? Raymond does exactly that in ‘The Toaster‘.
He gets a toaster engraved with a loving message for his parents, Frank and Marie. But Frank and Marie never open the box and exchange it for a coffee maker… Hilarious chaos ensues.

The Simpsons
‘Marge Be Not Proud’
It was tough to choose just one of the many The Simpsons Christmas episodes for this list. But ultimately, ‘Marge Be Not Proud‘ came out on top – ‘Miracle on Evergreen Terrace’ and ‘‘Tis The Fifteenth Season’ are close seconds.
Bart is caught shoplifting just before Christmas, and Marge starts acting indifferent towards him. It’s hard to watch in some places — the family making snowmen without Bart is heartbreaking — but the ending is extremely wholesome and really encapsulates the Christmas spirit.

How I Met Your Mother
‘How Lily Stole Christmas’
In ‘How Lily Stole Christmas’, Lily gets mad and takes away all of the Christmas decorations from the apartment when she finds out Ted once called her a bad name.
Ted then spends the episode trying (but failing) to patch things up with Lily. It’s very funny and you’ll learn a new but kid-friendly swear word… Spoiler: it’s ‘Grinch.’
Watch Season 2, Episode 11 of How I Met Your Mother now on Disney+.
Ted Lasso
‘Carol of the Bells’
Ted Lasso is such a wholesome show, so it’s no surprise that its Christmas episode is delightfully heartwarming.
Rebecca, aware that it’s his first Christmas since getting divorced, invites Ted to join her in delivering gifts to underprivileged children. Be prepared to smile and/or happy cry during ‘Carol of the Bells’.
Watch Season 2, Episode 4 of Ted Lasso now on Apple TV+.
Seinfeld
‘The Strike’
This is arguably one of the best Seinfeld episodes of all time. We’re introduced to Festivus, a quirky alternative to Christmas that George’s father made up. The holiday’s traditions include the “Airing of Grievances” and “Feats of Strength.”
Meanwhile, George creates a fake charity to get out of buying his colleagues Christmas presents. You’ll laugh so hard you’ll cry at all of the holiday chaos that goes on in this Seinfeld episode.
Watch Season 9, Episode 10 of Seinfeld now on Netflix Australia.
Bob’s Burgers
‘The Bleakening’
What Bob’s Burgers does best is musical episodes and ‘The Bleakening’ is no exception; it’s full of catchy, Christmas-themed songs! Trust us, you’ll be adding ‘Twinkly Lights’ to your holiday playlist as soon as the credits roll.
The episode’s plot revolves around Linda throwing a Christmas party but realising her precious ornaments were stolen during the festivities. She then hilariously interrogates everyone who attended the party. Meanwhile, the kids try to track down a mystical being dubbed “The Bleaken” as they think it stole the ornaments.
Watch Season 8, Episode 6 of Bob’s Burgers now on Disney+.
New Girl
‘The 23rd’
The gang all agree to attend Schmidt’s office Christmas party but only if they leave early to ensure Nick doesn’t miss his flight home (he’s missed his flight home for the last five Christmases).
New Girl is at its best when it mixes humour with sweetness and the ending — without giving too much away — is just that.
Watch Season 1, Episode 9 of New Girl now on Disney+.
Black Mirror
‘White Christmas’
If you’re looking for something darker to watch these holidays, Black Mirror’s ‘White Christmas’ is for you. Starring Jon Hamm, the episode tells three bleak but interconnected tales, all set at Christmas time.
Thought-provoking, horrifying (in a good way), and incredibly cinematic, ‘White Christmas‘ is a must-watch. But be warned: it won’t fill you with holiday cheer. More like holiday dread…
Watch Season 2, Episode 4 of Black Mirror now on Netflix Australia.
Mr Bean
‘Merry Christmas Mr Bean’
In ‘Merry Christmas Mr. Bean’, the lovable character hilariously navigates several festive mishaps, from an oversized turkey to accidentally disrupting a nativity display.
Rowan Atkinson’s an indisputable comedic genius, so if you’re looking for an easy watch that’ll make you giggle this Christmas, this episode is the perfect option!
