Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are undeniably one of the cutest husband and wife duos in Hollywood.
The couple have been together for more than 25 years (not counting a brief separation that made them both “grateful” for their relationship), and share two beautiful kids.
Read on for the complete timeline of Ben and Christine’s relationship, from how they met to their sweetest moments.
How did Ben Stiller meet his wife?
Ben – the comedy veteran and acclaimed director of Severance – and Christine – best known for The Brady Bunch Movie – first met in 1999 while filming the pilot for a show called Heat Vision and Jack.
He directed the episode and Christine starred in it, as did Jack Black, Owen Wilson and Ron Silver.

And while Heat Vision and Jack ultimately wasn’t picked up, it didn’t stop sparks from flying between Ben and Christine.
In 2007, Ben recalled meeting Christine on the Heat Vision and Jack set and said, for him, it was love at first sight.
“When I met her, I pretty much thought, ‘That’s the person,’” Ben said during an Entertainment Tonight interview.
“It was like, ‘Wow, this is a great person. I love her.’”
Are Ben and Christine still together?
Yes, Ben and Christine are still together.

The couple made their red carpet debut in June 1999 at the MTV Movie Awards.
And on May 13, 2000, Ben and Christine tied the knot in an intimate, oceanside ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii.
Since getting married, the duo have worked on numerous projects together like Zoolander, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and Tropic Thunder.
They have also welcomed two children: Ella Olivia, born on April 9, 2002, and Quinlin ‘Quinn’ Dempsey, born on July 10, 2005.
Ben and Christine did briefly separate in 2017 but they reconciled during the pandemic.

Why did Ben Stiller and his wife split up?
As aforementioned, in 2017, Ben and Christine split up. They released a joint statement at the time that read:
“With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate.
“Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends. We kindly ask that the media respect our privacy at this time.”
The couple ultimately got back together though, something they publicly revealed in early 2022.

Since then, Ben has been rather candid about his and Christine’s time apart.
“When we separated, it was just having space to see what our relationship was, what my life felt like when we weren’t in that relationship, how much I loved our family unit. It was like three or four years that we weren’t together but we always were connected,” Ben told The New York Times.
“In my mind, I never didn’t want us to be together. I don’t know where Christine was, you’d have to ask her, but COVID put us all together in the same house.
“[And] it was almost a year of living in the same house before we were actually together. But I’m so grateful for it, and I think not that many people do come back together when they separate,” he continued.
“There’s nothing like that, when you come back. You have so much more appreciation for what you have, because we know we could not have it.”
