Get ready to have secondhand embarrassment; the endearing but awkward Greg Focker is returning to our screens in a fourth instalment of the Meet the Parents franchise titled Focker in Law.
It all began with a simple trip to meet the in-laws in the 2000 film Meet the Parents, in which Greg – played by Ben Stiller – endured relentless grilling from his fiancée’s CIA-trained father, Jack Byrnes – played by Robert De Niro.
The chaos escalated in the 2004 film Meet the Fockers, when Jack met Greg’s free-spirited, boundary-pushing parents, Bernie and Roz Focker.
And by the time the 2010 film Little Fockers rolled around, Greg was still trying to win Jack’s approval while juggling the complexities of fatherhood.
With some of the same characters we know and love, the fourth instalment is bringing a whole new storyline. And luckily for fans, John Hamburg, who co-wrote all three prior Meet the Parents films, will write the screenplay for the upcoming film.
Here’s what we know about Focker In Law so far.
Who is the cast of Focker In Law?
Some of our beloved family members from the original movies are returning, including Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, Owen Wilson, and Blythe Danner.
But the Focker children are all grown up and in relationships. Playing the Focker children are Skyler Gisondo and Beanie Feldstein, joined by Ariana Grande as a love interest (or enemy of Greg) and Eduardo Franco.
Speaking at the 2025 Tribeca Festival, some of the original cast members discussed the upcoming fourquel.
“What spurred the idea is that I’m the age that Bob was when we did the first movie. It felt like a mirror to the first film, where one of my kids is thinking about introducing his person to the family,” Ben said.
“The script is really fun. I’m looking forward to it,” Robert added.
Unfortunately, Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand will not be returning to the franchise.
When does Focker In Law release?
The “circle of trust” will get bigger when Focker In Law releases to cinemas around Australia on November 26, 2026.
