Is there going to be a Season 3 of Severance?
On March 21, 2025, just after the Season 2 finale was released, Apple TV+ officially renewed Severance for Season 3.
The exciting news wasn’t too surprising considering Severance is now its top-streamed series; the show surpassed Ted Lasso in early 2025.
Plus, on March 19, 2025, Ben Stiller appeared on Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast and let slip a few details about Season 3.
Travis – AKA Taylor Swift’s boyfriend – asked Ben whether the wait between Seasons 2 and 3 was going to be as long as the 3-year-long wait fans had to endure between Seasons 1 and 2.
“No, the plan is not, definitely not,” Ben replied before adding:
“And, hopefully, we’ll be announcing what the plan is very soon.”
Did Ben Stiller create Severance?
No, Ben did not create Severance – Dan Erickson did.
However, Ben’s production company Red Hour Productions produces Severance.
Furthermore, Ben has directed the majority of Severance’s episodes; he even received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for his work on the series.
Who stars in the series?
Adam Scott, best known for Parks and Recreation and Step Brothers, stars in Severance.
He leads an ensemble cast that also consists of Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, John Turturro, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, and Australia’s Dichen Lachman (who you may recognise from Neighbours).
Oscar winner Christopher Walken, of The Deer Hunter, Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can fame, and Oscar winner Patricia Arquette, of Medium, Boyhood and The Act fame, round out the cast.
