“She loved her animals and she was steadfast in her support of the unhoused community, so any donations in her memory to a local food bank or an animal shelter would be a wonderful and much appreciated tribute to her.”
A source previously revealed that Diane’s health “declined very suddenly.”

Over the years, Diane has suffered from multiple skin cancers. She battled basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer she described as “tricky,” noting a strong family history of the disease.
In a 2015 interview with the Los Angeles Times, she said, “I remember my Auntie Martha had skin cancer so bad they removed her nose. My father had basal skin cancer, and my brother had it.” Decades later, she was also diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma and underwent multiple surgeries.
In addition to skin cancer, Keaton spoke openly about her struggle with bulimia. She told Dr Oz in 2014 that the eating disorder began after she was asked to lose weight for a Broadway role.
“All I did was feed my hunger, so I am an addict,” she said. “It’s true. I’m an addict in recovery, I’ll always be an addict. I have an addictive nature, to me.”
She described a typical binge as including “a bucket of chicken, several orders of fries with blue cheese and ketchup, a couple of TV dinners, a quart of soda, pounds of candy, a whole cake and three banana cream pies.”
