Gia and Scott turned heads rather quickly into the Married At First Sight Australia 2026 experiment, calling themselves this year’s “power couple.”
Gia is a 35-year-old disability support worker from Victoria. She’s hoping to find an empathetic, ambitious, and loving partner. Luckily for her, the experts matched her with Scott, a 33-year-old business owner from Queensland.
This cheeky, confident, car-enthusiast man could just be the man of her dreams!
So far, their relationship has raced through the MAFS experiment with flying colours. Below, The Weekly discusses Gia and Scott’s journey on Married At First Sight Australia 2026.
Are MAFS’ Gia and Scott still together?
Despite their stength so-far on MAFS, Gia and Scott are no longer together.
Fans knew Gia was still in a relationship, however, in the real world following her apology message for that disastrous dinner party. In the message, Gia said she was focused on bettering herself so that she can be a better mother and partner – but she wasn’t referring to Scott.
“I’m choosing to focus on growth. On being a better person. On working on myself privately. On being a present and loving mum, and a supportive partner. That’s where my energy is going.”
Leading up to the fourth commitment ceremony, Woman’s Day shared images of Gia cuddling up to fellow reality star Alan Wallace, who featured on the 2023 season of Love Triangle.
While Gia and Scott mght not be together in the real world, they’re still exploring their connection on MAFS 2026. Below is their journey.
Audition Woes
The pair were flying through the experiment, until Gia watched Scott’s audition tape.
Scott was asked if he’d date someone with a kid, to which he answered, “I say yes and I say no… if there’s a kid old enough and they can look after themself and as long as I don’t have to pay anymore school fees I’d probably consider it.”
Naturally, Gia was taken aback by her husband’s statement given he seemed to welcome her nine-year-old daughter during their wedding.
Gia’s Wedding Confession
While Gia isn’t typically the type to hold anything back, there was one secret she was keeping: her daughter.
“She’s like the love of my life. She’s my reason for living,” she confessed to producers. However, Gia was terrified she’ll scare off her new husband.
Viewers thought Gia’s man of honour was going to “spill the beans” – despite her explicit instructions to her friends and family. However, her uncle accidentally reveals the truth. So, she rushes to tell her husband.
“I have a kid,” she said tearfully.
“You have a kid? That’s alright,” Scott said reassuringly, confirming it was not a dealbreaker for him and has no quarrels with becoming a step-dad.
“Honestly, I couldn’t thank the experts enough for matching me with someone like Gia,” Scott later told MAFS producers, giddy with joy. “This is the one I’ve been looking for. This is a true love story right now.”
Their connection was undeniable, as Gia also gushed over her pairing: “I could see myself falling for him. I haven’t had a spark like that for years. I just feel safe.”
