Who has left Married At First Sight 2026 so far?

Trouble in paradise.

Married At First Sight Australia wouldn’t be a reality dating series without some harsh truths and shock exits during the commitment ceremony, and the 2026 season is no different.

Once again, the relationship experts John Aiken, Mel Schilling and sexologist Alessandra Rampolla have returned to the couch to guide the couples.

The first commitment ceremony of the thirteenth season was relatively boring compared to the following Sunday’s episode, where one couple exited, and another bride walked out mid-ceremony!

Without further ado, below are all the couples who have exited Married At First Sight Australia 2026 so far.

Tyson & Stephanie

To no-one’s surprise, Tyson and Stephanie did not survive the MAFS experiment. The groom explosively walked out of their second commitment ceremony after Steph shared her concerns to the relationship experts.

Her worries included Tyson’s opinions on same-sex relationships, wanting a “submissive” wife, and “supressing” herself to avoid an arguement.

“I do not see a future here with this person at all. And quite frankly, after tonight, I’m going back to the Gold Coast,” he declared.

Julia & Grayson

A few days after the commitment ceremony, Julia wrote a letter to Grayson revealing their relationship was over, as there was no “burning desire.”

During their third commitment ceremony, the pair officially exited the experiment. While Julia felt Grayson’s “energy” wasn’t “inviting,” the groom claimed his wife could only give “airy fairy” communication.

“I call it a nuisance, you call it vague,” she responded.

While speaking with 9Entertainment, Grayson admitted, “Off camera, I never saw her, I never got a chance to hang out and go for a coffee with her, she just sort of disappeared.”

Sitting in front of the experts, Grayson confessed he was “shattered.”

“I’m at a point where I [ask], am I ever going to find that person? Am I ever going to find love? I feel a bit helpless. I want love so bad. It’s tough.”

Mel & Luke

After a complicated journey on MAFS, Mel and Luke decided to exit during the third commitment ceremony.

Mel just couldn’t feel a romantic connection with Luke despite relationship expert John pointing out their incredible compatibility.

“Why don’t I have feelings for him? Because I should,” she pondered.

“I feel like Mel hasn’t really tried throughout this whole experiment,” Luke confessed. “There’s times where I feel like she’s tried on paper, she’s bought me some gifts. But I don’t want gifts, I don’t care for gifts. I want to spend quality time [with her]… it’s taken a continuous toll on me.”

However, Mel hopes they can continue their friendship outside of the experiment.

Rebecca & Steve

Viewers were vying for Rebecca and Steve to survive the MAFS experiment. But unfortunately, the pair called it quits in the second commitment ceremony.

The cracks in their relationship began to show rather early, particularly when Steve began listing his wife’s red flags during boys’ day. Their issues continued in Intimacy Week. The experts where husbands were tasked by Alessandra to fulfil their wives’ desires. However, “conservative” Steve didn’t feel it was necessary, while Rebecca held herself back because she’s “scared of rejection.”

“Out of respect for me, she chose not to dress up and make me uncomfortable. I had nothing but respect because Rebecca didn’t come in dressed up, because I would have found that uncomfortable,” Steve said, which earned some odd looks from his co-participants.

That night, the argument progressed as Steve questioned Rebecca’s intentions. “You can give them the TV gold you’ve been holding back on,” he said while leaving the apartment.

Naturally, there was no coming back for Steve and Rebecca. Both parties wrote leave during the following commitment ceremony.

Brook & Chris

Brook and Chris’s end on MAFS wasn’t surprising given the bride’s bombshell interview with Woman’s Day. The interview revealed she was pregnant, but also engaged to her ex-boyfriend. However, their departure was a little convoluted.

Prior to the second Dinner Party episode, producers revealed Brook had fled the experiment and returned to the Gold Coast, while Chris remained.

“I just want to go home,” Chris said ahead of the Dinner Party. “I have to be here and go through this bulls**t, while Brook gets to sit at home, gallivanting on the Gold Coast in a bikini… Brook gets no repercussions.”

The groom showed up to dinner solo until Brook crashed. As MAFS viewers know, this was undoubtedly one of the most vicious Dinner Party episodes yet (click below for more).

Brook claimed to Woman’s Day that there was an off-screen “incident” which led to their breakup.
