Tyson and Stephanie have been matched for their similarities on Married At First Sight Australia 2026, but their personalities clashed on their wedding day.
The self-proclaimed masculine man with conservative values, Tyson, is a 30-year-old property investor and a devout Christian. The former military man has been single for six years, following the end of his first marriage.

He hopes the relationship experts have matched him with a loyal woman who shares his sometimes polarising values. Or, as he described it in his first episode on MAFS, he doesn’t want a “woke” woman.
Tyson shared his “red flags” with John Aiken, revealing: “A woman with green hair that’s the first red flag, a woman that’s a complete feminist [that] hates men, a woman that hates Donald Trump – I personally like Trump, I think he’s doing a great job.”
Matched with Tyson is Stephanie, a 32-year-old real estate agent who has been single for more than a decade and has never been in love. While she’s still figuring out what her ‘dream man’ looks like, Stephanie is ready to find love.
Below is Tyson and Stephanie’s journey on Married At First Sight Australia 2026.
An unhappy wedding
They seemed like a perfect match on paper, both not wanting to be with someone not interested in the “woke” culture. However, the cracks began to show after Stephanie emphasised that she was an ambitious person.
Tyson grew more concerned that his wife was too “woke” and he also was “not too happy” that she was two years older than him given he asked for someone younger.

Following the ceremony, the groom’s concern grew when Stephanie only allowed him one kiss during the photoshoot.
“She came across very frigid, cause she’s never been in a relationship. She definitely needs to change that,” he said, despite previously noting a girl with a high body count was a red flag as it meant she has “daddy issues.”
While Stephanie simply described her husband as “lovely,” the warning signs quickly began flashing. Seemingly baiting Tyson, she asked, “Do you want to be a house husband?”
To which he responded: “Hell no… You may as well ask me if I want to wear a skirt around the house.”
