Rebecca and Steve are ready to find that ‘one’ to enter the next phase of life with, but first, they have to survive the Married At First Sight Australia 2026 experiment?
Lighting up the room with her laugh is Rebecca, 51. She’s always prioritised her son Austin, 19, after divorcing his father when he was two years old.
“I do have regrets. I always thought – now I’m going to start crying – that I was going to have that white picket fence; I wanted that for my son,” she admitted tearfully. “I felt like a complete failure.”
She has been matched with Steve, 50, who has also gone through divorce with four daughters.

Below is Rebecca and Steve’s journey on Married At First Sight 2026.
Waving a Red Flag
Steve and Rebecca’s relationship seemed to be going well, until the Red Flag Green Flag game in Revelations Week.
Unlike many other grooms who gushed over their brides before sharing some concerns, Steve immediately revealed Rebecca’s red flags.
“Rebecca is consistently that person, where [she] needs to be talking all the time… there’s no downtime,” he said.
“Rebecca’s humour – I don’t understand some of her humour, sometimes it’s got a bit of a sexual innuendo to it, and I’m very conservative, so it just seems rude to me.”
“Rebecca’s not my usual type, and what I mean by that, is her personality’s less conservative than mine.”
Steve continued to share that his wife’s, “emotions are very high and very low. I’m not sure what I’m gonna get and that worries me.”
A Joyful Beginning
Basking in the wedding bliss, Steve and Rebecca were absolutely smitten with one another.

“Rebecca, you would know her from her laugh. Definitely something that stands out. I’m not sure if it’s a normal, traditional laugh. It’s louder than I’m used to, that’s for sure! It could stop traffic,” Steve said, before adding, “She’s [got] a beautiful heart, soul.”
After a peaceful wedding, the pair jet-setted off to the Whitsunday’s for their honeymoon where the laughter and joy continued.
“I can’t honestly believe how happy I am. I have given up so much to be here, but I think he’s actually the perfect match for me,” Rebecca gushed.
