As Oscar Piastri’s popularity on the F1 race track grows, so too does the interest in his personal life, particularly his relationship with his girlfriend of six years.
With the 24-year-old flying into his hometown, Melbourne, in March for the 2026 Australian Grand Prix, we are taking a look at his relationship with English Lily Zneimer.
How did Oscar Piastri meet his girlfriend, Lily?
At just 14, Oscar moved to England to pursue his professional career in racing. It was at Haileybury College, a boarding school in Hertford, England, where Oscar and Lily met.
“We keep it private, [but] not secretive like some relationships are,” Oscar told Dax Shepard on the EFF Won with DRS. “We keep it to ourselves and try to be out of the spotlight and just live normal lives.”
“So it’s been nice to have someone there from the start that’s still with me.”

How long have Oscar Piastri and Lily been together?
The pair only connected in their second-last year of high school. Lily and Oscar began dating just before he graduated in 2019, meaning they have in a relationship for over six years.
They’ve been “together ever since,” through Formula 4, Formula 3, Formula Renault and now, Formula One.
While they make an active effort to keep their relationship away from the cameras, Lily has been spotted attending his races. But even when she’s not there in person, Oscar has never doubted her support.
After winning his first F1 race at the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix, the Aussie gave a shout-out to her during a post-race interview with Fox Sports.
“Hi to Lily, I’m sure you’re watching. I will see you soon. Thanks. This is for everyone, this isn’t just for me,” he said.

Who is Lily Zneimer?
Very little is known about Oscar’s girlfriend, Lily Zneimer, given her decision to stay away from the spotlight. However, we do know the British-born is an engineering graduate.
According to the Haileybury College website, she graduated with some of the best GCSE exam results in the school’s history.
Australian photographer and paddock regular, Kym Illman, has claimed Lily has aspirations of working in F1.
“She wants to get a job in F1 and with her contacts, you’d have to say she rates a pretty strong chance,” he said in a 2023 interview with The Sun. “They are a delightful couple.”

What happened to Oscar Piastri during the 2025 F1 race?
There is nothing Australians love more than seeing one of our own achieve international acclaim. And at just 24-years-old, Oscar is certainly earning quite the reputation as part of the McLaren Formula One team.
In 2025, he fell just 13 points short of winning the championship. His teammate, Lando Norris, secured the win – something many Aussies believed to be sabotage from McLaren despite his denials.
“At no point were there any bad intentions or certainly no sabotage as I’ve seen around a few times,” he said. “You always learn more in the tougher moments or the bad moments.”
“I definitely learned some lessons and things I can take forward into 2026 through that, but also, proved to myself more than anything, that when I get everything together and kind of maximise my potential, that it’s good enough to win races.”
