Could Meghan Markle be back on our screens in a Suits reboot?

Speculations are rife!

Suits has become extremely popular in recent years. Even though the nine-season-long series premiered over ten years ago in 2011. And that it ended six years ago in 2019.

But thanks to Netflix, Suits has had a serious resurgence. So much so, that fans have been non-stop speculating whether the show will get a tenth season. Or perhaps a reboot.

Fuel was added to this fire on October 30, 2024, when Patrick J. Adams — who starred as Mike Ross in the series — posted several never-before-seen photos from Suits. He posted them on Instagram to promote his and Sarah Rafferty’s podcast.

“Please bring back the show, guys,” one Instagram user commented. Another said, “Would love a reboot of the show!”

And this isn’t the first time Patrick has stirred the pot. On September 27, 2023, he posted multiple photos from Suits. This led many to wonder whether there was any significance to the post beyond a simple ‘throwback’.

“We missed you guys, please do [a] new season,” one Instagram user commented.

“This better mean that a comeback season is incoming,” another said.

However, Suits series creator Aaron Korsh has quashed speculations of a reboot.

Posting on X, Aaron announced on August 21, 2023, amid The Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild strikes:

Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter, Patrick J. Adams as Mike Ross, Rick Hoffman as Louis Litt in Suits.

“Let me say right off that there is no #Suits reboot or anything in the works. The Strike would have to end, some network or streamer would have to reach out, and then we would have to collectively want to. Which is no small thing…”

Aaron then partook in a Q&A, answering Suits fans’ many questions.

One question was in response to Aaron’s initial Tweet and read, “WAIT WAIT WHAT I’M READING IS THAT WHEN THE STRIKE ENDS IF A NETWORK OR STREAMER REACHES OUT AND EVERYONE WANTS TO YOU WOULD DO IT?”

To which Aaron replied, “That’s what you’re reading, but it ain’t what I’m writing. I would consider it, but it’s not my priority creatively.”

Aaron’s thoughts on a potential Suits reboot seemingly echo what Gene Klein — who served as Suits’ executive producer for all nine seasons — told TVLine in July 2023.

“In this era of reboots and reunions and all this other stuff… I’m expecting a call at some point. But I’m not aware of any serious conversations. It’s just one of those things where, in this day and age, you wouldn’t be surprised if somebody called you someday. But so far, nothing that I’m aware of,” Gene said.

Of course, if Suits did somehow get the greenlight to produce a tenth season, the question on everyone’s lips would be whether Meghan Markle would return to play Rachel Zane.

In February 2025, Gene said, “Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, Meghan can come back.” In reference to a reboot or a cameo in Suits LA.

According to Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, she left the show at the end of Season 7 because of the Palace.

In his memoir Spare, Harry wrote: “Meg packed up her house, gave up her role in Suits. After seven seasons. A difficult moment for her because she loved that show, loved the character she was playing, loved her cast and crew — loved Canada.

“On the other hand, life there had become untenable. Especially on set. The show writers were frustrated because they were often advised by the Palace comms team to change lines of dialogue, what her character would do, how she would act.”

So now that both Harry and Meghan have officially stepped away from their royal duties, surely the Palace wouldn’t be able to make such requests if Meghan did return for a tenth season of Suits?

Of course, we’re getting ahead of ourselves, and only time will tell whether Suits comes back and whether Meghan returns with it. Watch this space.
