King Willem-Alexander is currently on a working visit to Norway and Denmark.

His Majesty is currently in Copenhagen where he met with King Frederik of Denmark. The pair visited multiple businesses transitioning to green energy, before attending the Dutch-Danish Forum on Hydrogen Cooperation conference. The main focus of this visit is to strengthen the ties between the three countries in areas of future energy systems and hydrogen technology.

Following Copenhagen, the Dutch King will travel to Bergen and Oslo, where King Frederik will also join.

Queen Maxima and Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands attended the Jubilee Concert Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra on October 21, 2024. The concert celebrated the 80th birthday of the orchestra’s founder and director Ton Koopman, and was a part of a larger international tour.

King Willem-Alexander attended the opening of DPG media headquarters in Amsterdam on October 10, 2024.

His Majesty was presented with the first print of the Het Parool newspaper featuring himself on the cover at the opening event.

Queen Maxima stepped out on a full day of solo engagements on October 2.

The Dutch Queen opened the MODA – Moroccan Fashion Statements exhibition at the Centraal Museum. The exhibit focuses on contemporary designs from Moroccan makers in the Netherlands.

On the same day, Queen Maxima visited the Space Expo where they were launching Vakkanjers, a technology curriculum and competition for students.

King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima and Crown Princess Amalia of the Netherlands hosted a gala dinner for the members of the State Council at the Noordeinde Palace.

According to the official Instagram page of the Dutch Royal Family, the State Council is an independent advisor to the government and is considered the most elite administrative sector of the Netherlands parliament. The King holds a ceremonial position as Chairman and his daughter, the Crown Princess, holds a seat in the State Council.

The Dutch royal family enjoyed a lovely day out on August 27 at the Dutch Grand Prix. In attendance were King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, their daughter, Princess Alexia, and their nephew, Count Claus-Casimir.

King Willem-Alexander met with the incoming Prime Minister Dick Schoof on July 1. It marked the first time Willim-Alexander swore in a new prime minister during his reign (which started in 2013).

Dutch streaming platform Videoland, released a television series that chronicles Máxima Zorreguieta’s young life as well as her love story with King Willem-Alexander. Aptly called Máxima, the show is like the Dutch version of The Crown and will soon be available for Australians to watch on SBS On Demand.
