Prince Nikolaos of Greece married shipping heiress Chrysí Vardinogiánni, in a private ceremony in Athens on Friday, February 7, 2025, ten months after his first marriage ended.
Nikolaos is the middle child of the late King Constantine II and Queen Anne-Marie — sister of the late Queen Margrethe of Denmark. The European royals are very interconnected. His godparents are Princess Sofía of Spain (his paternal aunt), Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark (another paternal aunt), Margareta of Romania, and Crown Prince Alexander of Yugoslavia (now the Kingdom of Serbia). His father was the godfather to Prince William.

Prince Nikolas split from his former wife Princess Tatiana in April 2024. They had been married for 14 years, and never had children. She has retained her Princess title.
Tatiana Blatnik met the prince while on a ski trip to Switzerland in 2003. The Slovenian-German business consultant and photographer married Nikolaos seven years later on the Greek island of Spetses. The royal couple lived for a time in the UK while the Greek Royal Family was in exile. While there, Tatiana worked for Diane von Fürstenberg as a publicist before returning to Athens.
Their split in 2024 came as a shock to the public. Tragically, a month after the announcement, Tatiana’s stepbrother Attilio Brillembourg disappeared in Malibu, California USA and is still missing.

Prince Nikolaos kept the relationship with his new wife very private over the last ten months.
Chrysí is also a divorcee. She was once married to Green singer Stefanos Xypolitas, with whom she shares two children — George (12) and Karen (11).
The couple made their first official appearance at Princess Theodora of Greece’s wedding in October 2024.
The Greek Royal Family announced their wedding on the official website in the following statement:
“The Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony of HRH Prince Nikolaos, now known as Nikolaos De Grèce, and Ms. Chrysi Vardinogianni will be held on Friday, February 7th, 2025, at 6:00 pm at the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas Ragavas in Athens in a private ceremony amongst close family and friends.”
