Ever since Prince Harry released his explosive, tell-all memoir Spare in 2023, the public has wondered if Meghan Markle would ever follow suit and release one of her own.
Well, the Duchess of Sussex has finally addressed the long-standing speculation…
Does Meghan Markle have a memoir?
On April 28, 2025, Meghan appeared on The Jamie Kern Lima Show — a podcast hosted by the co-founder of IT Cosmetics.
And Jamie asked her, “You’re a New York Times best-selling author. Would you ever write another book?”
Meghan replied, “Yes, maybe, for sure. I love, right now, working on everything in the space of hospitality and home and entertaining and food and those sort of tips,” referring to her recent ventures: the Netflix show With Love, Meghan and the lifestyle brand As Ever.

But then she added, “Of course, children’s books are great. And then I think people are often curious if I’m going to write a memoir, but I’ve got a lot more life to live before I’m there.”
So, the short answer is no, Meghan does have a memoir and does not have any plans to write and release one just yet.
What books has Meghan Markle written?
Meghan wrote the 2021 children’s picture book The Bench.
It was illustrated by Christian Robinson and reached number one on The New York Times’ Best Seller List for picture books.
The Duchess also wrote the foreword for the 2018 charity cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook.

What is The Bench book about?
The Bench follows a series of fathers and sons sharing meaningful moments.
For example, a father is teaching his son to ride a bike, a father and son tending gardens together, and a father offering support to his son after a fall.
Furthermore, these moments are all seen through the tender, observant lens of a mother.
The story was inspired by a poem Meghan wrote for Harry on his first Father’s Day.
His tight-knit bond with their son, Prince Archie, was also a source of inspiration.
