As Prince William and Princess Catherine prepare for a formative few years for both their children and the British monarchy, the pair have relocated to their forever home.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have recently moved into Forest Lodge, a short distance away from their previous home, Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Great Park.
According to Town & Country, a Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed the family’s big move.
Forest Lodge is roughly 328 years old, featuring eight bedrooms, a chandelier-lit ballroom, tennis court, and several cottages for security and their nanny.

The Wales family reportedly moved to an unstaffed home to give their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, a more conventional home life, according to CNN.
The move occurred during the children’s term break from Lambrook School in early November, but the original plan was to move around Christmas.
Daily Mail reported the Prince and Princess of Wales hosted a thank you party at The York Club for the builders and staff members involved in speeding up their move.
“The couple very sweetly just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has worked tirelessly to help,” a local source told the publication.
Princess William and Princess Catherine moved into the four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage in 2022. Since then, the family have dealt with many heartbreaking issues.

“Every part of Adelaide Cottage, sadly, had an unpleasant memory associated with it. It’s a lovely house and they started with such high hopes, but in the end they have experienced some of their most challenging times there as a family,” a royal source told Daily Mail.
Queen Elizabeth passed away mere months after they moved in, and in 2024, both Princess Catherine and King Charles were diagnosed with cancer.
The British royal family owns several residences including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace, Clarence House, Balmoral Castle, and even Sandringham House.
