The annual event, now in its 142nd year, is held on their Norfolk estate. The proceeds go to local charities.

With around 20,000 visitors attending, the Sandringham Flower Show is a favourite in the royal calendar. The late Queen Mother was a particular fan. Last year, the King had just returned to work following his cancer diagnosis. As a result of his lightened duties, he pulled out of the event in 2024.

It was the first time in its long history that no royal member attended.

Next year, the Sandringham Flower Show will pause to make way for the Royal Horticultural Society Event.

During the day, they chatted to exhibitors and members of local horticulture and gardening clubs as well as charity supporters. Camilla took a look at some dog-themed cakes, remarking that her rescue puppy Moley was “very naughty.”

“I think I only have one shoe left,” she laughed.

The Canadian regiment Lord Strathcona’s Horse, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary, will be performing duties from 11-21 July. The 26-member unit was invited by King Charles. It has been practising with the mounts, which are larger than the quarter horses they traditionally ride in their homeland.

“It’s quite an honour to be asked to come over here, to participate, to be able to help support, to have the riders come and do the ceremonial task for our sovereign,” Major Colin Peterson, the officer commanding C Squadron with Lord Strathcona’s Horse, said.

Queen Camilla was all smiles as she spent a day giving thanks to a variety of charitable organisations.

Camilla spent time at Lower Shockerwick Farm, near Bath in Somerset. She is Patron for Jamie’s Farm. This is a centre which works with young people typically aged between 11 and 16, who are at risk of social or academic exclusion. This could be due to challenges with behaviour, attendance, or mental health.

During her visit, she handed out cuttings and seeds for plants including foxgloves, hollyhocks, mint, rosemary and blackcurrant, which she’d brought from her private home. “I hope I can come back and see them thriving,” she said.

Zelensky also met with Prime Minister Keir Starmer while in the UK.

The visit comes ahead of a NATO summit on Tuesday in the Netherlands.

Queen Camilla turned heads on the final day of Royal Ascot with a stunning diamond brooch with a surprising history. And while the extravagant piece was part of Queen Elizabeth II’s private collection, it doesn’t appear the late Monarch herself ever wore the brooch publicly, marking its first outing in close to a century.

Banking heiress Alice de Rothschild commissioned the unusual piece as a wedding gift to Queen Mary upon her nuptials to King George V in 1893 – and it conceals a humorous nod to the groom’s notorious attention to timekeeping.

The brooch contains over 100 diamonds shaped into a bow and flower pendant which are connected by a dual chain. Inside the diamond studded bloom is a watch. George V was famous for his wish that everybody would be on time, even setting forward his own clocks so to ensure no late arrivals or departures.

This was one of the first stunning pieces that Queen Mary acquired, leading her to collect an incredible jewellery collection in the years before her death in 1953. She left many of these gems to her granddaughter, Queen Elizabeth.

With pieces sparingly being brought out by a new generation of royals, we can’t wait to see what comes out next!

Between the buttoned-up event, King Charles shared a smile with his sister. At the end of the ceremony, His Majesty gave a speech on the values of honour and tradition of The Household Cavalry, which is symbolised in the standards.

“At such a time of global uncertainty, it is of crucial importance to preserve the attributes of excellence and achievement for which you are famous, and which are symbolised by these Standards…These Union Standards remain a physical reminder of that very personal bond between the Sovereign and the Regiments of The Life Guards and The Blues and Royals…They have lasted the test of time… and remain a golden thread that connects the present to an illustrious past.”

To mark the date of their coronation, King Charles and Queen Camilla unveiled their official Coronation State Portraits in the National Gallery in London.

The towering artworks were created by Peter Kufeld and Paul S. Benney. Peter, who painted the King’s portrait, also painted Prince Harry and Prince William for official portraits.

In his portrait, Charles is dressed in his Robe of State and naval uniform with medals. Plus, the British crown is resting on a pedestal next to him. And in Camilla’s portrait, painted by Paul S. Benney, she is wearing her coronation dress, which was designed by Bruce Oldfield. The ivory silk dress was embroidered with silver and golden floral designs to represent the Royal Couple’s love of nature.

The portraits will be on display at The National Gallery from Tuesday, 6 May 2025 until Thursday, 5 June. Afterwards they they will move to the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace.

Charles is the patron of the association, and William is the President. A role he accepted in July 2024.

William had just returned from a trip to the Scottish island of Mull with his wife, Princess of Wales, Catherine. The pair celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary this week.

Earlier that day, the King and Queen of Sweden gifted the royal couple a Swedish Oak Tree. The gift was to commemorate the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla in 2023.

King Carl XVI Gustaf used a historical spade to dig a hole for the tree. It was originally used by King Gustaf V of Sweden on 19 November 1908. The Swedish monarch recently turned 79, and his granddaughter Princess Ines made her balcony debut during his birthday celebrations. He is currently the longest-reigning monarch in Swedish history.

Queen Camilla participated in The Big Egg Hunt. This charitable initiative was organised by the Elephant Family, a conservation charity co-founded by her Majesty’s late brother, Mark Shand.

The Big Egg Hunt involves placing 123 artistically designed, two-foot-tall eggs across London. Encourages Londoners to find the eggs to promote awareness and raise funds and awareness for wildlife conservation in Asia.

Queen Camilla visited the “Green Man Humpty Dumpty Egg” installed outside Buckingham Palace. This particular egg, commissioned by King Charles and Queen Camilla, was designed by artist Alice Shirley. The design reimagines the classic Humpty Dumpty character as the Green Man, a symbol of nature’s renewal, reflecting the royal couple’s commitment to environmental conservation.

During her visit, Queen Camilla expressed admiration for the artwork, describing it as “wonderful.” This appearance marked her first public engagement since King Charles’s brief hospitalisation on March 27 due to side effects from cancer treatment. The King has since resumed his public duties.

We never thought we’d put ‘Queen Camilla’ and ‘Married at First Sight‘ in the same sentence, but here we are!

On March 27, 2025, MAFS star Jamie Marinos revealed that Queen Camilla was supposed to have a cameo in this season’s final dinner party episode. The episode aired on March 26, 2025, but it was ultimately cut.

Let us backtrack a little. The final dinner party was filmed in 2024, the same day that as a part of her royal tour of Australia with King Charles, the Queen visited Green Square Library.

And Green Square Library is right next door to OneGlobal Resorts, where the MAFS participants lived during the experiment.

“It was on a dinner party day because we were getting ready and Dave wanted to have a shower, and I was like, ‘But the Queen is coming!’ Like, what are the chances?,” Jamie told Yahoo Lifestyle.

“We found out she was coming because we had like, cops and stuff, everyone blocking off the street, and I was like, ‘This is f**king nuts!’ Imagine having front row seats to the Queen, like our balcony was literally facing her.”

A MAFS production insider confirmed Jamie’s story and added: “All of the cast were filming on their iPhones, and producers quickly repositioned the camera crew to get footage. They know it’d be ratings gold to try and feature a royal onto the show somehow.”

It’s not yet clear why Camilla was cut from the episode; perhaps the footage wasn’t very good or perhaps the drama going on between Paul and Carina took precedent over the Queen…

It was reported that His Majesty King Charles III has purchased a property close to his wife Queen Camilla’s private home in Wiltshire for £3 million (approximately $6.1 million AUD) using private funds.

The property is located by the river Avon and shares a private laneway with Camilla’s residence, Ray Mill House. She often uses Ray Mill House as a countryside refuge. The new property, called the Old Mill, is also a heritage building that dates from the time of the Normans.

The former owner of the property, Phil Clayton, converted parts of the property to holiday apartments, which local residents opposed. There were concerns that any new owners would develop it further, which could be a security risk to the Queen.

King Charles’s official Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts posted a video of him sitting down at a desk with an ‘on air’ sign on it. As Charles sat, the on-air sign lit up. The video then ended with a title card that read, “Coming soon.”

Fans quickly took to the comments to try and figure out what is coming soon. “The King’s Podcast?,” one comment proffered.

“The King starting a podcast?,” another read.

It wouldn’t be too surprising if Charles launched a podcast; his wife, Queen Camilla, did so last year.

However, it turns out the King has launched his own personal playlist with Apple Music dubbed The King’s Music Room, to mark Commonwealth Day on March 10.

The radio broadcast includes his favourite tunes from across the Commonwealth. He has chosen Aussie pop icon Kylie Minogue, as well as celebrated Jamaican artists, Grace Jones and Bob Marley in his playlist.

In a statement alongside the announcement, King Charles said:

“Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. It has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories, comfort us in times of sadness, and to take us to distant places. But perhaps, above all, it can lift our spirits to such a degree, and all the more so when it brings us together in celebration. In other words, it brings us joy. So this is what I particularly wanted to share with you, songs which have brought me joy.”

The broadcast will air at 6am in the UK (4pm AEST) on Monday, March 10, with subsequent airings during Monday and Tuesday.
