This is the fourth year in a row that the Princess Royal has earned the title.

New data collated from The Court Circular show that Anne has taken part in 217 royal engagements so far in 2024.

This is particularly impressive considering she cancelled several engagements in June after being hospitalised

Next in the 2024 Hardest Working Royal rankings is King Charles

In another impressive feat, His Majesty has attended 186 engagements, despite taking some time off earlier in the year after being diagnosed with cancer

Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, came in third this year. As of November 25, he’s taken part in 126 royal engagements.

Taking fourth and fifth place are The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. Prince Edward has attended 124 engagements while Duchess Sophie has attended 108.

Next is Queen Camilla with 95 royal engagements.

Then it’s a lesser-known member of the royal family: Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester. Birgitte racked up a total of 72 engagements.

Closely behind Birgitte is Prince William with 71 engagements.

Following the Prince of Wales is Prince Edward, Duke of Kent; so far, he’s attended 62 royal engagements in 2024.

And last is Princess Catherine – not surprising and totally understandable as the Princess of Wales dramatically scaled back her royal duties in 2024 after undergoing both abdominal surgery and chemotherapy

With that being said, Catherine has still managed to attend 11 royal engagements so far this year.

Surprisingly, the rankings for the 2024 Hardest Working Royal are not too dissimilar from last year

In 2023, Princess Anne took out the top spot and was followed by King Charles, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, Queen Camilla, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince William, Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, and Princess Catherine.
