Princess Catherine — aka Kate Middleton — is continuing to cement her status as a fashion icon in 2025.
After taking most of last year off due to abdominal surgery and preventative chemotherapy, the Princess of Wales has returned to public duties this year…
This means fashionistas can expect to see her signature, effortlessly chic style more regularly.
Below are her best looks from 2025… So far!

Newsies meets nature
In April 2025, Catherine released a short film about the importance of the natural world.
And in the film, the Princess of Wales looks styishly cosy!
She’s wearing a Bella Hoskyns Bomber Jacket and the Otis Cashfeel Cable Knit Sweater by Emilia Wickstead (which you can buy for yourself here), along with skinny jeans and paperboy hat that gives serious Newsies vibes.

Lucky green
To no one’s surprise, Catherine wore green to the Irish Guards’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade, held on March 17, 2025.
Her look consisted of an emerald Alexander McQueen coat and a matching Lock and Company hat. She also wore black Cornelia James gloves and matching Ralph Lauren boots.
She accessorised her ensemble with a pair of Kiki McDonough earrings with green amethysts, green tourmalines, and diamonds. The Princess of Wales also donned the Shamrock Brooch. This brooch is owned by the Irish Guards which loans it to royal women when they take part in ceremonial duties.
The brooch has previously been worn by the Queen Mother and Princess Anne.

Lady in red
For her first Commonwealth Day service in two years, Princess Catherine opted for an all-red ensemble. She wore her ruby-coloured Beau Tie dress by Catherine Walker and matching accessories. Including a pillbox hat by Gina Foster, a Miu Miu clutch, and Gianvito Rossi stilettos (you can buy the exact same pair here).
The Princess of Wales also wore the Four-Row Japanese Pearl and Diamond Choker that once belonged to Queen Elizabeth and the Collingwood Earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana.

Sustainable queen-to-be
We love sustainable fashion and it looks like the future Queen of England does too!
On February 26, 2025, Catherine, along with William, visited the Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland in Wales. For the royal visit, she wore a Gucci midi skirt, Gianvito Rossi boots and a Ralph Lauren jacket.
The same Ralph Lauren jacket Catherine wore on March 13, 2007, to the annual Cheltenham Race Festival.

Respectful black and symbolic pearls
In honour of Holocaust Memorial Day, on January 27, Princess Catherine joined her husband Prince William at a reception held for around 50 Holocaust survivors at the Guildhall in London.
Catherine opted for a smart but respectful look — black trousers, a black top and a black blazer.
The Princess of Wales also wore a layered pearl necklace and the Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings (a gift from the late Queen Elizabeth).
She likely settled on these accessories as, since Queen Victoria, pearls are a staple of royal mourning attire. It’s believed Victoria mainly wore pearls after her husband Prince Albert’s death. To her, they represented tears.

Alexa, play ‘Maroon’ by Taylor Swift
On January 14, the Princess of Wales paid a surprise visit to Royal Marsden Hospital. This was where she received treatment for cancer in 2024.
While there, Catherine met with doctors, nurses and cancer patients. She then publicly shared the happy news that she was in remission.
For the visit, the princess wore a maroon turtleneck and a matching maroon skirt. She also layered a chic Blazé Milano coat, made of brown tartan fabric, over the monochromatic outfit when she braved the cold weather outside.
