How to use a Myer discount code

  • Get your discount: Click on any tested deal here to get the active code and/or offer details (if no code’s needed).
  • Go to Myer: We’ll opn a new window for you to go straight to the relevant section of the site and you can shop for whatever you want from there.
  • Choose your pieces: Add everything you want to your cart (or ‘Bag’ as Myer calls it), and when you’re ready, click through to the checkout.
  • Add the code: Click on ‘Add a discount code’ under ‘Order Summary’, enter the code and click ‘Add’ to update your order. That’s pretty much it. The order summary will show how much you’ll save from the discount code or other deal, and you can go through the rest of the checkout steps from there.
To add a Myer discount code, you need to click to expand the code field, highlighted in this screenshot on mobile.

“Myer is one of my favourite stores when I want some nice things around the home or a refresh of my beauty cabinet. Two of my most recent purchases were new pillows and a cast iron frying pan, but I also look forward to their Christmas range for decorations, gifts – and seasonal discount promotions.”

Can I use multiple Myer discount codes?

No. Myer, like most stores, only lets you use one discount code per order.

In fact, the fine print says codes “may not be used with other offers”. So if there’s a sale on, you probably won’t be able to double up the savings. But, we’ve seen other discount codes in the past that do work on sale items, so as far as we’re concerned it never hurts to try and see what happens (or check if the code has its own T&Cs).

Does Myer have discount codes for students?

Sometimes you can find Myer discounts through free student membership programs like UNiDAYS and Student Beans. But there weren’t any active ones when I checked for this article. Our deals team is always searching though, so if one does pop up you’ll likely find it here.

Do Myer workers get a discount?

If you work at Myer, you get a 15% discount on most purchases according to details on Glassdoor.com.au. But it may change at different times of the year or for particular products.

MYER one: The not-so-secret (but very handy) way to get more value at Myer

Myer’s free loyalty program, MYER one, is one of the easiest ways to get discounts, special offers and other occasional perks (early access to sales, anyone?).

MYER one members earn 2 points for every $1 spent at Myer and partners – including Just Jeans, Portmans, Jacqui E, Dotti and Jay Jays – and get a $10 Reward for every 1000 points.

Members also get a yearly Birthday Gift, with a discount value from $10-$30 based on the membership tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum).

MYER one member tiers and perks

Membership tiers are based on how much you spend, with the following thresholds and benefits:

  • Bronze ($0 to $749 yearly spend): A $10 Birthday Reward, early sale access, exclusive member offers and pricing, MY Personalised Bonuses and partner offers.
  • Silver ($750 to $2499 yearly spend): All the benefits of Bronze membership, but with a $15 Birthday Reward. Plus a $10 Anniversary Reward based on when you joined, VIP shopping event, one MY Reward Days (when you get double points for each $1 spent at Myer and eligible partners), a complimentary beauty treatment and a MY Edition Box of products curated by Myer.
  • Gold ($2500 yearly spend): The same basic member benefits, with a higher $20 Birthday Reward, $15 Anniversary Reward, two MY Reward Days, two MY Edition Discovery Boxes and two complimentary beauty treatments. Plus complimentary gift wrapping and standard delivery for eligible purchases at Myer.
  • Platinum (by invitation): The same basic member benefits, with a higher $30 Birthday Reward, $20 Anniversary Reward, four MY Reward Days, four MY Edition Discovery Boxes and four complimentary beauty treatments. Plus complimentary gift wrapping at Myer, complimentary standard and big and bulky delivery at Myer, exclusive experiences and events, an exclusive festive gift and a Key to the Store Experience.

There’s also the occasional exclusive offer. For example, in February, I got a $15 eVoucher to spend on beauty products. And I’ve previously had a $20 eVoucher to use on a purchase over $150 during a Myer sale.

Three more tips to get the biggest bang for your buck at Myer

  • Check out ‘gift with purchase’ beauty buys: This is a great way to get something extra with beauty brands such as Estée Lauder, Givenchy and SK-II. You’ll usually get the gift when you spend over a set amount or buy a particular item with the brand, so it’s great if you’re already eye-ing off some new products.
  • Shop the sale and clearance section: Myer has a sale section when you can find the latest promotional savings. But for even bigger discounts, you can also check the online clearance section, where just about every category is covered. To give you an idea, I found savings of up to 70% across fashion, beauty and home items when I was updating this article.
  • Use Points + Pay: If you’re part of Virgin Australia’s Velocity Frequent Flyer program, you can use points to pay for some or all of your Myer purchase. It’s not the most valuable way to use points (reward flights usually take that honour), but it’s handy if you want to keep more in the bank. You can also use Points + Pay if you have a credit card linked to American Express Membership Rewards or CommBank Awards.

Myer shopping FAQs

When are the best Myer sales?

If you want the biggest Myer discounts, add Black Friday, Boxing Day, EOFY and Afterpay Day to your calendar because we’ve found these major sale events are when Myer really pulls out all the stops.

For example, in the most recent Afterpay Day sales, Myer had discounts of up to 50% on cookware sets. And last Black Friday, The Australian Women’s Weekly found deals including 50% off a Stanley Tucci 11 Piece Cookware Set, 50% off a Linen House bamboo cotton sheet set and 41% off a Seed Heritage linen dress. Plus up to 50% off fashion, beauty, home and more.

Beyond that, you’ll find great deals during Myer’s own seasonal sales. Especially mid-season and end-of season sales.
We also update the deals here regularly, so there’s no need to worry if you miss out on the big sale events (and we help cut through the noise if you’re shopping at those times too.

Can I get a price matched at Myer?

If you’re shopping in-store at Myer, you can request a price match if you find the same product at a lower price in-store or online at an Australian competitor. This includes brands that have concession stands in Myer, such as Sunglass Hut.

To request the price match, Just ask a Myer team member and show them the lower price you’ve found (i.e. on the Australian website or with photo from the competitor’s physical retail store).

Does Myer have free shipping?

Yes! Myer offers free standard shipping for orders over $99, and for Silver, Gold and Platinum MYER one members. Otherwise, standard shipping costs $9.95 anywhere in Australia and express shipping is $12.95.

It’s also worth noting big and bulky items have a $75 delivery fee, unless you’re a Platinum MYER one member (it’s complimentary for them).

Can I click and collect at Myer?

Yes! It’s free to click and collect from a Myer store. I actually placed two separate orders for collection at Myer in Sydney this week – both with discount codes/vouchers (the perks of recently having a birthday and getting a special offer). It’s fast and easy to order online – just choose the store you want to pick up your order from before adding it to cart, so you can make sure it’s available, then select the click and collect option at the checkout.

What is Myer’s return policy?

Myer offers 30 days for change of mind returns when the items are in their original condition. There are some exceptions, but in general you’ll be able to get a refund paid back on your card (or whatever form of payment you used). But if you’ve paid with a gift card or rewards, Myer may issue a Returns Card (like a gift card) instead of a cash refund. So keep that in mind especially when you’re using any MYER one discounts.

Are Myer and David Jones owned by the same company?

No. While Myer and David Jones are both iconic Australian department stores, they have a long history of rivalry. In fact, the two stores often featured in headlines for their rivalry during the early 2000s, when both stores signed high profile ambassadors to be the “face” of their stores – Myer had model and Miss Universe 2004 winner Jennifer Hawkins, while David Jones had supermodel Megan Gale (and has worked with her again more recently).

Jennifer Hawkins and Myer went their separate ways in 2018. But she’s still the brand’s longest-running ambassador, and probably the most remembered too.
Beyond the headlines, Myer is a publicly listed company and is owned by its shareholders, with Premier Investments Limited having a majority share. And David Jones is not publicly listed but is owned by Anchorage Capital Partners.

What is Myer’s story?

Myer has always been about “quality, service and value”, which pretty much sums up my general experience in the store (although “value” is easier when there’s a sale or discount code).

Beyond that, the Australian department store has had quite the journey. It was founded in 1900 in Bendigo by Belarusian-born brothers Elcon and Sidney Myer, whose name you might recognise from the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. Sidney was pretty much broke when he got to Australia, according the Myer Foundation website. He went on to become a renowned businessman and philanthropist, driving much of the Myer department store success and jet-setting around for business and family life until his untimely death in Melbourne in 1934, aged 56.

But his legacy lives on as part of the Australian retail landscape. During the 20th century, Myer opened over 50 locations. It also bought Grace Bros (a fun fact for trivia nights), and inked the largest deal in Australian corporate history at the time when it merged with Coles in 1983.

In the early 2000s, Myer was bought by an international consortium run by US private equity group Newbridge Capital. After that it went public on the Australian Stock Exchange.

These days, Myer’s gone in a new direction with the launch of The Myer Group in 2025. This network of 783 department and specialty stores in Australia and New Zealand includes fashion brands Sass & Bide, Marcs, David Lawrence, Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Jacqui E, Portmans and Dotti.

Myer is now home to Rihanna’s beauty range – and we’ve got intel on the best buys

Fenty Beauty has been on The Australian Women’s Weekly team’s radar for years as a trending celebrity beauty brand. It’s also featured in articles on the best cleansers for dry skin, clean beauty, and our how-to on applying foundation. Now, it’s available at Myer, making it even easier to shop (it was previously only available directly or through Sephora).

Myer Chief Merchandise Officer, Belinda Slifkas, told me there was consumer interest even before Fenty Beauty launched.

“The interest in Fenty Beauty with customers ahead of launch has been unlike anything we have seen in recent memory. There [was] a real emotional connection people have with this brand before it hit our shelves, and that speaks to what Fenty Beauty represents beyond the products themselves,” she said.

“Celebrity-founded beauty brands are increasingly setting the agenda for the beauty category, with consumers drawn to them because they offer an authentic extension of a person they already admire and trust, and Fenty Beauty is the prime example of that done right.”

Belinda Slifkas, Myer Chief Merchandise Officer

The best-sellers at Myer include the Soft’Lit Naturally Luminous Foundation, which comes in over 50 shades, the Shadowstix Longwear Eyeshadow Stick and the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer. But I’ve also found some new release sets that I think would make great gifts for Christmas or birthdays. Particularly the Quench Kit Mini and the Blushin’ In Diamonds (looking at that for one of the teens in my life).

How The Australian Women’s Weekly gets the best Myer discount codes and deals

We love a good bargain, but we also know that finding one when you need it can take time. So we’ve made it easier for you with this edit of Myer discount codes and deals. Our curated approach includes drawing on our industry contacts and trusted sources, as well as emails, social media and the Myer website, where we also test each code to make sure it works. We then choose the deals we know you’ll love (and that we’re probably shopping with too), and ready the fine print to call out essential details. And when an offer ends, it’s taken down, so you’re only ever clicking on the real deal
