Australian player Adam Walton is making huge waves in the tennis world following his first win over a top 10 opponent in the French Open 2026.
It was a game that tested his grit and determination as the heat hit the court in full force.

“We grew up in the heat,” Adam said on-court at Roland Garros. “I really like it when it’s hot in Paris.”
So, when Adam walked away victorious, those of us celebrating in Australia became incredibly curious about the 27-year-old professional tennis player who’s kept relatively under the radar.
“It’s great, just a pretty cool story to have been brought up in Home Hill and then moved to Brisbane, then moved to America, and now playing pro. It’s a pretty special story,” Adam confessed to the media following his win against Daniil Medvedev.
Luckily, we were just as curious to learn more about the Brisbane-born wildcard, and it turns out, off the court Adam is head over heels for his fiance, Rachel Renner.
After graduating high school in Australia, Adam relocated to Tennessee in America to attend university. It was here where we believe the pair met and began dating at around 18-years-old.
Sometime after this, Adam began to look like a true American with dyed blonde hair and large University of Tennessee signet rings. In between the frequent tennis posts, Adam shared his love for now-fiance.
Rachel, 26, is the owner of a Barre fitness class in America. Together, they own an adorable pooch Daisy. In November 2025, he dropped to one knee and proposed while in Puerto Rico.

Based on little teasers shared on social media, we believe Adam and Rachel are planning a November 2026 wedding.
What is Adam Walton’s ranking?
According to the Association of Tennis Professionals, Adam’s 2026 ranking is 97. He turned professional in 2022.
His win against Daniil was Adam’s fourth main draw win at grand slam level. In the lead up to the French Open, he also played a pair of Challenge harcourt events in China.
