The MasterChef Australia family has grown! Judge Andy Allen and his wife Alexandra have shared the happy news of the birth of their baby boy Jude Jackson Allen!
Fans were speculating why Andy was missing from the recording of MasterChef Australia when Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, was a guest judge. In promotional images, the Three Blue Ducks chef was nowhere to be seen. Now it turns out, he was busy on parental leave as Jude arrived on 13 April, 2026!
“Our perfect little boy was welcomed into the world on April 13th,” Andy and Alexandra shared on Instagram. “Couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve created, we love you so much already!”
Previous winners and contestants sent their congratulations to the new parents.
“Ohhhhh, so precious. Welcome little Jude!!!” said Julie Goodwin.
“Congratulations Andy and Alex, he is absolutely gorgeous ❤️” said last season’s Back to Win winner, Laura Sharrad.

Andy, who has been a judge on the cooking show since 2012, took to Instagram on November 17 in a joint post with his wife to share the news that they were expecting their first child.
“We’ve been cooking up something pretty special… 🥰” Alex wrote. “Welcoming a little duckling in April!”
The Instagram post featured a collection of images, including Allen cradling his wife’s growing bump.

Countless fellow reality television stars flooded the comment section with love for the soon-to-be new parents.
“Eeeeeeeep this is amazing news. Congrats you guys!!!! 👏♥️” MasterChef’s Poh Ling Yeow shared.
New Australian Survivor host David Genat commented: “Congrats mate thats awesome.”
“BEST NEWS! 😍 Congrats lovers 🥹🥹🥹” Sofia Levin, who joined MasterChef as a judge in 2023, wrote.

Beloved chef, Julie Goodwin commented: “Oh you are on for such a treat. 💜”
Fans have been enamoured with Andy and Alex’s love story for many years. In 2020, MasterChef fans were over the moon when learning that Andy dropped to one knee and popped the question in New Zealand.
“I drove down to what I was told was a nice secluded beach,” Andy previously revealed to TV Week.
“But when we got there, there were more than 300 people on the beach, and the only free spot I could find was next to a couple of 16-year-olds violently pashing. It was the least romantic spot ever!”
Troubles aside, they officially tied the knot in October 2022. The beautiful wedding ceremony was held at Terrara House in New South Wales.
