The 2025 BAFTA Awards have officially ended!
Held after the Emmys, Golden Globes, and Grammys, but before the Oscars, the awards ceremony celebrates outstanding British and international contributions to film each year.
You can read the full list of this year’s nominations here and the full list of this year’s winners here.
But if you’re more interested in the ceremony itself, read on to see the best (and worst) moments that happened during the 2025 BAFTAs…

Pamela Anderson and Fernanda Torres sweetly embraced
Pamela Anderson and Fernanda Torres shared this incredibly sweet moment on the red carpet. We love actresses supporting actresses!

David Tenant crushed his opening monologue
David Tenant’s opening monologue was fantastic. But rather than roasting the celebrity guests, the Doctor Who actor stuck to dad jokes and puns. His best joke was celebrating Timothée Chalamet’s range, congratulating him for playing Willy Wonka, Paul Atreides, and Bob Dylan all in the same year. “As Dylan said himself, the Tims are a changing,” David joked.

Jesse Eisenberg roasted his wife
When he won Best Original Screenplay, Jesse Eisenberg joked that he wanted to thank his wife but “she didn’t come because she didn’t think I’d win.” Jesse did go on to sweetly say that he “loved her very much” though.

Take That performed
Talk about British royalty; Take That performed together during the BAFTAs ceremony.

Jeff Goldblum performed during the in-memoriam
Who knew Jeff Goldblum was an accomplished pianist? The actor played a beautiful tune during the in memoriam segment, during which James Earl Jones, Shelley Duvall, Teri Garr, Donald Sutherland, Kris Kristofferson, Gena Rowlands, Maggie Smith and more were honoured.

Prince William presented the EE Rising Star Award (sort of)
Royalists everywhere were disappointed when Prince William and Princess Catherine didn’t attend the 2025 BAFTAs. However, in a pre-recorded message, Prince William spoke about the EE Rising Star Award’s legacy and then introduced James McAvoy and Letitia Wright to the stage (both previous EE Rising Star winners themselves) to present this year’s winner: David Jonsson.

Warwick Davis was inducted into the BAFTA fellowship
Veteran actor Warwick Davis of Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Willow fame was inducted into the BAFTA fellowship during this year’s ceremony. “This is probably the best thing that’s ever happened to me, and I was in Star Wars,” Warwick said to laughs during his acceptance speech. He then emotionally thanked his late wife, who passed about a year ago.

Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall promoted the latest Bridget Jones film
Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall presented the BAFTA for Best Actress. But before they did so, they hilariously argued about which one of them was the main love interest in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.

Conclave won the most prestigious award of the night
Conclave ended up taking home the prestigious Best Picture BAFTA Award.
