We’ve seen Jamie Durie on our screens many times before, but he rarely makes television appearances with his family.
The gardening expert launched a reality show in 2025, Jamie Durie’s Future House with his fiance Ameka and two children, Beau and Nash.
Shortly after its release, people became curious to learn more about Jamie’s interesting family dynamic – he did become a father at 23.

How did Jamie Durie meet Ameka?
The television presenter was frequently travelling to Los Angeles to visit his eldest daughter Taylor when he met Ameka in 2020.
Shortly after, they were spotted on a romantic getaway in the Blue Mountains.
Ameka is one half of alternative country music duo, Ruskin Rowe.
In February 2021, Jamie shared the news of their engagement on Instagram, thanking Ameka for “turning [his] life upside down.”
“I couldn’t be happier 🥰. Magic night for a magic girl,” he wrote.
However, the pair are yet to exchange vows. Originally, their wedding plans were halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But in 2024, they told Woman’s Day they put their wedding on hold to focus on a home.
How many kids do Jamie Durie and Ameka share?
In total, Jamie and Ameka share two children together. Their first child together is daughter Beau Durie, born in July 2022.
“My heart is overflowing ❤️,” he captioned the announcement post. “We are thrilled to introduce you to our beautiful baby girl… Beau Durie. Words can’t describe how proud I am of my girls.. Thank-you my beautiful Ameka for bringing so much joy into our lives.”
Less than a year later, they welcomed their son Nash David Durie. Confirming the news in a heartwarming video of Beau meeting her younger brother in February 2023.
“Welcome to the world baby Nash David Durie ♥️ Words can’t describe how grateful we are. Thank you to my beautiful @amekajane for making this dream come true,” Jamie wrote on Instagram. “Our family heart is full with three beautiful children 🥰♥️ Thank you every one for all your beautiful wishes, we are overwhelmed.”

The horticulturalist became a father at just 23 years old to a daughter named Taylor, who would now be in her early 30s. Jamie, 55, shares Taylor with an ex-girlfriend he met at just 18 years old.
