Australian rock icon Jimmy Barnes will perform live at the 2025 TV WEEK Logie Awards, just months after releasing his 21st studio album and recovering from major surgery.
The “Working Class Man” is bringing his legendary rock’n’roll energy to the 2025 TV WEEK Logie Awards stage.
“I am excited about playing at the Logies, television’s big night of nights,” Jimmy said in a statement. “It will be great to celebrate all the fantastic talent we have in Australian television, and to play some rock’n’roll music to get the party jumping.”
The performance follows the release of his new album DEFIANT, which dropped in June 2025. The record — his 21st studio album — has been described as “gritty, soulful and full of fight.” It’s a fitting soundtrack for a man who’s repeatedly beaten the odds. He has since gone on the road with the DEFIANT tour.

Fans of Jimmy know that this isn’t just another gig. After undergoing emergency open-heart surgery in December 2023, followed by hip surgery in 2024 and again in early 2025, the Cold Chisel frontman had to postpone several shows. Yet true to form, Jimmy bounced back.
“I think I’m invincible,” he told 7NEWS earlier this year. “I think I’ll be performing until I drop.”
He credits his wife Jane and the surgeons who helped save his life for giving him another shot at doing what he loves: being on stage. And now, he’s set to remind Australia why he remains one of our most loved and enduring performers.
