The 2025 TV WEEK Logie Awards have officially kicked off!
For the 65th ceremony, some of Australia’s most talented people in the entertainment industry will walk the red carpet before heading inside The Star Sydney for the real ceremony to begin.
But what have been the best moments from the 2025 TV WEEK Logie Awards? Continue scrolling to see.

Lynne McGranger takes home the Gold Logie
After 33 incredible years on Home and Away, Lynne McGranger has taken home a Gold Logie Award!
In her acceptance speech, she revealed how she planned to display the award:
“I did promise that if I won the Gold Logie, I would carry it around in my handbag for a year,” she said, before adding some darker details. “But I also thought what I could do is in a few years’ time, when I die, I might chop the head off, scoop it out, and put the ashes in there, and screw the head back on and give it to Clancy.”

Commemorating Magda Szubanski
In the 2025 ceremony, Magda Szubanski was inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, she couldn’t attend the ceremony due to her battle with cancer, but she did share an emotional video. To read her full speech, click here.
Meanwhile, close friend David Campbell reflected on their relationship.
“I have had the honour of being friends with Magda Szubanski for the last 20 years. She set me up with my wife, she is the godmother to my daughter,” he shared.
“I came to the realisation who you think she is, precisely who she is. She is as funny and naughty and cheeky and absurd and playful as you would hope. She is as big-hearted as Sharon and as camp as Pixie Ann.
“She is a writer who moved us with her award-winning memoir reckoning and she was the voice of our nation on marriage equality. She moves through life with authenticity and integrity with the ability to find laughter in literally any situation. And that is the magic of Magda.”
The segment followed with some of Magda’s best clips on screen, with some of Australia’s most talented personalities sharing their love for Magda.

In Memoriam
The ‘In Memoriam’ section of the Logies had many people in tears this year.
They honoured two people in particular, including Australian journalist George Negus, who sadly passed away in October 2024, aged 82, and Maggie Tabberer, who passed away in December 2024, aged 87.
George was a household name for his reporting on Channel 9’s 60 Minutes program in the 70s and 80s.
Maggie’s career began in modelling, before becoming well known for her work in publishing – including at The Australian Women’s Weekly – and was a two-time Gold Logie winner.
Marcina Hines sang Amazing Grace while the ‘In Memoriam’ section honoured those we’d lost.

BFFs Julia & Poh
Who said you can’t be competitors and still be best friends?
I’m A Celebrity‘s Julia Morris and MasterChef‘s Poh Ling Yeow walked down the red carpet together at the 65th Logie Awards, and absolutely stole the show.
We spoke with both nominees in the week leading up to the Logies.

Sam Pang’s cheeky monologue
Third time’s a charm, and it’s safe to say everyone’s jaw was on the floor when listening to Sam Pang’s monologue speech.
Particularly when he poked at respected journalist Ray Martin.
“A journalist for over 60 years, even at the age of 80, he remains one of this country’s most inquisitive minds. Ray is always asking questions,” he said. “Even tonight, I saw him on the red carpet and he asked me, ‘Sam, Where am I?’.”

Jimmy Barnes rocks out
Rather than open to Sam Pang’s monologue as host, viewers were treated to a performance of Australian rock legend Jimmy Barnes.
Everyone in the crowd rocked out to Working Class Man – which is celebrating its 40th anniversary – as Jimmy sang his heart out.
