It is rare that a relationship created on a dating reality TV show lasts, let alone start a family. But Married At First Sight Australia’s Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli have certainly beat the odds.
MAFS fans are overjoyed to discover Martha and Michael have welcomed their second baby together, a baby girl named Sunday Maria Brunelli.
“Our girl is here. Sunday Maria Brunelli, two weeks early and completely perfect. We are smitten,” Martha shared on Instagram, on March 23.
Martha took to Instagram on October 22, 2025, to share a video of her first born Lucius playing with her growing bump.
“Knocked up n’ knocked out. Will be back bigger (🤰🏻) and better soon… fingers crossed!” she captioned the post.
Many in the comment section wished Martha a better pregnancy than her first, and rightfully so. While pregnant with Lucius back in 2022, the mother was diagnosed with a rare condition called hyperemesis gravidarum.
Which is basically severe chronic nausea and vomiting with no relief. It is like 24/7,” Martha revealed at the time.
“I literally did not get out of bed for two months, I was so sick. I could not eat or drink anything. There were days that I did not even get up to pee.”
At the time of her first pregnancy, the couple’s dedicated fans were suspicious something had happened. Martha and Michael, being the avid Instagram posters, went radio silent for three months while they were in Europe…
Fans were thrilled to finally learn that the MAFS duo would become three. Little Lucius, who is now a Michael look-a-like, was born on February 27, 2023.
Before children were in the picture, Martha was nervously walking down the aisle to meet a stranger. Who knew on that fateful day back in 2018, that the lovebirds would be starting a family!
“She’s beautiful. She looked absolutely amazing. She’s got this huge smile and it just drew me in. I think I’ve struck gold,” a 27-year-old Michael said as his bride approached him.
Martha’s reaction, however, was slightly different, “He looked like he just got back from schoolies, fresh out of high school. He was clean shaven and all shiny, like a baby. I thought he was going to say he was 22. I was mortified.”
Martha was just 30-years-old at the time.
