It’s official: Simone and Viviana are the winners of My Kitchen Rules 2024!
In the grand finale, the Italian friends made Lobster and Guanciale Taco for their entree, Cappellacci Fagioli E Cozze and Lamb Rump with Pecorino Zabaione and Asparagus for their mains and Paris-Brest with Hazelnut Praline Cream for their dessert.
Their entree was particularly well received by the judges Colin Fassnidge and Manu Feildel, and special guest judge Julie Goodwin, with Manu saying it was, “perfectly cooked.”
Simone and Viviana ended up receiving 27 out of 30 as their final score, just beating Caz and Fergus – who made Fergburger Spring Rolls with Gochujang Aioli for their entree, Chargrilled Lemongrass Prawns with Vietnamese Chimichurri and Szechuan Beef Short Rib with Shallot Flatbread and Cabbage for their mains and Tamarind Date Cake with White Soy Caramel and Coconut Pandan Sorbet for their dessert, and received a final score of 25 out of 30.
“I’m so happy to have shared this with Viviana and all our friends. Amore, Amore. We did this one for you.,” Simone said when he and Viviana were crowned as the winners.
“I walked into this challenge with a best friend and came out of it with a brother. I could not be happier,” Viviana added.
Simone and Viviana are from Queensland and have been strong contenders from the very start of this year’s MKR season.
The friends came second in the first Instant Restaurant round, just behind Rob and Liam.
Simone and Viviana then came first in the second round of Instant Restaurants; in fact, they received the highest Instant Restaurant score in My Kitchen Rules history with 104 out of 110.
In the third and final round of Instant Restaurants, Simone and Viviana once again topped the leaderboard.
The team then earned their spot in the grand finale after beating Mike and Pete in the semi final.
And now as the winners of My Kitchen Rules they’ll take home $100,000. Congratulations Simone and Viviana!
